"This place is just awesome. The pretzels are delicious and the grapefruit raddler with vodka hit the spot. I am not a big beer drinker like my friends and so the radler was perfect for someone like me and I highly recommend it. The live band was fun and we danced around the tables. Our server Keelee (forgive me if I misspelled that) was so kind and attentive. It was a busy night but she did great and we were a very chill group just enjoying the music and each other's company. We will definitely keep coming back especially if they keep booking great bands. I wish there was more space on the floor for dancing but we did pretty good just staying around our table."
"We used to come to this restaurant/bar often when it was the Bierhaus. We were excited to hear they added a rooftop deck and new management was hoping to make a more Biergarten vibe when they switched ownership and reopened in July. Unfortunately we are very disappointed with multiple aspects of this change. The food is no longer authentic. There are many of the same items on the menu (like schnitzel) as there was under the former ownership and chef, but now those are just wrong and flavorless. The gurkensalat is no longer good- it is a bland cucumber with sour cream side with carrots and red onions (?!). No flavor. The spaetzle is terrible- super bland not even salted and dry like eating dough, though it looks pretty. (See photo) There are many new dishes which make no sense, like tacos, paprika chicken, goulash, shrimp dishes, etc. The fries were chewy like they had been fried a while ago. We won’t eat here again unless it is literally just a brat- and it’s sad for us. Ambience wise, this is now filled with screaming people just drinking and there is a TV. There are now some weird thrones here- I guess that’s for Instagram? The place is ruined."
"The food was delicious & a good selection of German Beers. Raphael was our server. He was welcoming and attentive. Went for lunch and street parking was not an issue."
"2nd Floor Opening Day Review!!! They've worked to capture a German Biergarten feel here with some of the most iconic menu items, and they serve a great raddler! The decorations, including the restrooms, were fantastic. Our server was amazing and communicated so well with us, while following up with the table frequently. I do have some suggestions: Music volume upstairs was more "club" than "restaurant" and we couldn't converse. I suggest bringing that down some, or making a decision between the two spaces, one loud and one not. Some entrees were a bit disappointing, especially in comparison on plates. The schnitzel looked great plated out and then the pick-2 sausage entree next to it looked lackluster. It really needed something else (dry currywurst isn't what I was anticipating). One thing about German cuisine is that the portions are always huuuuge! Could have been a bit more generous here without adding significant food cost. The flatbread pizza was just ok, nothing standout. Reminded me of school lunch. The big pretzel was a hit, though. The restaurant might just drop the flatbread from the menu altogether, it brings down the average. Adding some kasespaetzle instead of Mac&cheese to the menu and working up some sauteed mushroom/onions or some Königsberger sauce for the sausage plating would be a great win."
