"Very nice free zoo. A few exhibits were closed but overall it was a great experience. Easy to get to and parking was available on a Saturday afternoon. Would recommend for younger children as it's not long distances to walk and most of the animals are fairly close up so easy to spot them."
"We were delighted to explore this zoo on a trip through Maryland. The park is well maintained, sustainably landscaped and free to visit. Donations are accepted at the entrance. The animals were actively exploring their environments, even on a sunny summer day. We appreciated the interpretive signage around the park to learn more about the animals. The alpacas, emus and bears were our favorites. There is free parking at the zoo and full restrooms. They are constructing some new habitats. We look forward to visiting again."
"Free to park and enter. It was a hot day but there were tons of shady areas while walking around. Good variety of animals. Employees were friendly. Gift shop had good selection of keepsakes at reasonable prices."
"Very friendly zoo with a small, but still good, selection of animals to view and enjoy with your family. The park offers a small "beastro" with snacks, drinks and small meals. The enclosures are well kept and clean. The park itself is also well very maintained. I've been visiting this zoo since I was a child and am happy to see new attractions coming! The park isn't full of hills and is very easily accessible to anyone. Definitely a wonderful park for small children. There is no cost to enter, but please provide a donation at the gate!"
"This is an awesome FREE ADMISSION ZOO with what I thought I had really good parking. Had lots of fun here with some family, and I really enjoyed my time there! There was a bunch of enclosures, and each one had a sign to teach you about the animal that was there. It was also very handicapped friendly as there were plenty of paths and ramps in places there were stairs, although it was a bit bumpy in some places. I'd make quite a consideration to stop here, seeing as it's free and has a bunch to learn. Staff were friendly and did what was required to keep you and the animals safe. There was also a nice little gift shop with some pretty nice things that I'd recommend stopping at if you like buying something to remember your journey."
