"Amazing crab bisque - by far my favorite place to go out to eat is the Bayard House Restaurant. I always take my parents here. GREAT salads - they have the best wedge salad ever. The servers are always so helpful and friendly. This whole area is a delight to walk around as well. I highly recommend eating here. You won't be disappointed :)"

"A beautiful historic place. If it weren’t for the almost two hours of horrible music which totally ruined the atmosphere. No music would have been more appropriate. For lunch we had the crab bisque which was delicious but too thick for my taste. My sister had the Rock Fish sandwich which was delicious. I had the BLT, not at all what was described. Jersey tomato it was not, it was mealy and just gross as was the shredded lettuce I sent it back to the kitchen. The Chesapeake Bloody was amazing with crab and a huge shrimp on the glass . Our server, Tyler was wonderful. Please get rid of the music, it was awful!"

"Bayard is a classic, local restaurant for a nice dinner. Dinner and cocktails are delicious! Service is always top notch and food delicious. Sit upstairs or outside for a gorgeous view of the Chesapeake City bridge. This time we dined on crab bisque (top rated in my opinion), fillet, rockfish with crab, and Caesar salad; all were delightful and well prepared. Sides were delicious. Over the past several years, the Bayard House has provided me with the most consistent and tasteful dining experience for dinner in Chesapeake City. (Due to proximity, we frequent Prime 225, the Inn or Schaefers about once a week for dinner.)"

"This was our first time trying the food at the hole in the wall in Chesapeake city. WOW! This was the best Smith island cake we have ever had and we have had many flavors. This was banana walnut. The pork chop was amazing and the rockfish was amazing"
