"Dr. Dever was incredible. She put me at ease and took the time to thoroughly explain everything. My 9 month old was very comfortable with her, as well. The whole Fairfield office and staff were great, and I couldn’t recommend them enough."
"The staff was very friendly and polite. I’ve known Dr. Backman for years, and he’s always very thorough, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable."
"Dr. Bloom and her office have been so informative and kind. They have taken their time explaining the allergy testing process and what potential options they have to aide my allergies. I’ve been a patient here throughout my life and have had a pleasant experience each time."
"The dr and treatments have been fine but the billing manager was plain mean and inappropriate. Accused me of dodging phone calls and mail. She was rude and unprofessional and when I asked to talk to someone higher up she told me no. She said the only person above her is the doctors and she wouldn’t get them involved. I no longer trust this tyrannical office if I can’t speak with anyone above her. Even my sons doctor. She chuckled and had a real attitude the whole time even when I spoke nicely and worked to get the balance paid. My son has a life threatening allergy and this woman and doctors don’t care at all. Response: my issue with the office is not a billing issue. It is a customer service issue. And I was unable to take that up with anyone because of the financial manager telling me I couldn’t go above her. So basically she has free reign and everyone else has to just feel less than human which is exactly how she made me feel. And if the doctors cared I can’t imagine they wouldn’t want to know that this woman made me feel like a piece of scum and want to leave and take my son somewhere else. I have zero issues with the APRNs i usually see but to allow people to be treated how I was today is NOT OK. And I hope the doctors find out how their patients are treated after missing a copay."
"On 10/09/23, Hospital ED discharge instructions included to follow up the allergic reaction (hives) with an allergist. In doing so, on 10/11/23, I contacted Allergy & Asthma Care who had a cancellation so I was seen the same day (Trumbull office). The attentive, compassionate front desk staff kindly accommodated the impromptu new patient visit to assist me to complete the forms and to provide them necessary information. Likewise, the medical assistant staff too accommodated the last minute appointment to kindly assist me to complete the medical forms and to ascertain preliminary medical information. What most stood out was the air of compassion, patient advocacy and professionalism by this practice. Pertains provider, Dr. Backman he is an excellent listener who attentively noted my concerns that yes, the hospital ED reduced my acute symptoms (hives) however the symptoms were still present, causing significant distress/discomfort to the extent I was unable to work and was becoming increasingly anxious. Dr. Backman performed physical examination then explained the treatment plan. He also provided patient-family education, including that corticosteroids (hospital ED prescription) I was being tapered off can contribute to the anxiety I was experiencing. Toward symptom relief, that evening I immediately followed Dr. Backman’s treatment instructions. In response, the next morning I awoke with significant symptom relief! No words can adequately express my utmost gratitude to Dr. Backman, his medical assistants and office staff, all who are a compassionate team; to grasp the discomfort patients experience and to help ease the distress with their kind, attentive professional manner and most capable medical care, TRULY THANK YOU! After the visit to Allergy & Asthma Care, I feel so much better!!!"
