"My meetings with Dr. Candelaria were fine in that she seemed thorough but if you have health issues that arise, getting in to see her is difficult and there is no to little communication with her staff. On several occasions, I left messages with no call backs; when I tried calling , 95% of the time there was no answer. Her nurse/receptionist was passive aggressive and let her own personal matters impact her professionalism and instead of just taking accountability for her failure to deliver or return messages which happened on two occasions she acted annoyed. The Dr will not answer simple follow up questions via MyChart and rather will make you schedule another follow up appointment. I was sent home with another patients paperwork once, the overall organization of the office seemed poor. If staff felt your frustration, rather than respond with understanding and compassion, they seemed to be passive aggressive, really one person in particular but then again it seemed that there were only a handful or less of people who worked there. Due to my leaving their practice, and the drs unwillingness to see a test she ordered through, my mri will now be delayed several more months even though hospital told me the referral was still valid. A very frustrating experience. Probably goes along with a small practice which should also have its advantages but I did not experience those."

"My wife and I are both patients of Dr. Candelaria. Initially, my wife started going to see her, and I would often accompany her. After seeing the amazing and thorough care she received, I immediately switched to her as my PCP. On Sunday, my wife had a medical issue. I called the office and Dr. Candelaria called us back shortly after. She did a Telehealth visit over the phone. She explained everything to us regarding my wife’s condition, answered all of her questions, diagnosed it as a UTI, and quickly called in an antibiotic so she could be treated immediately. I am so grateful to have such a responsive provider, especially on a Sunday, like Dr. Candelaria. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing primary care physician."

"How much do I trust Dr. Candelaria? So much that when my mom moved to the next town, I sent her to Dr. Candelaria. It’s too bad that one-star reviewer didn’t get to meet the doctor. "This office gives me a very positive feeling about Healthcare in this area, which i have NOT had up until now, and which i do not have in general. Having said that, I have had a very excellent experience with all the people in the office and all of the staff each time i have visited. The doctor is very professional, kind, and extremely organized with a great referral network. It has been an excellent experience all around. I have found Doctor Candelaria to be very careful about her assessments and caring about the way she explains things. She is definitely one of the best doctors I have experienced in Connecticut. She takes her job very seriously and yet she has the ability to laugh and not take everything too seriously. She makes you feel that she is listening to a real person, which is not always the case in doctor's offices. She actually called me back, when i called the office. She speaks with a sense of authority and yet she really listens and makes you feel that she is in tune with her patients and gives one the sense she hears you when you speak. What more can one expect ? A caring and thorough doctor with professional experience with the Hospital she is affiliated with who highly recommend her. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found a doctor like this."
