"While the doctors are great, their nurses and staff have been nothing but difficult. I was told to follow up after a sick appointment, I've been trying to do that and they refuse to give my message to the doctor or let me have a conversation with him. Instead they want me to wait another week to have an appointment with him even though I am no better. I had to leave 5 messages just to get the nurse to call me back in the first place."
"This office needs to keep its patients happy. Otherwise your doctors will lose business. Especially when someone has disability and paper work on file that was given to this office and the office manager does not have the right to make those decisions. It’s none of her business i am the patient and this office breaks patient confidentiality. I am filling a complaint about this practice soon and i hope it shuts down. Does not listen to the needs of a patient who has a disability. Office manger stephanie nelson is rude and discrimnates against someone with a disability. I find that she doesn’t understand the law and should be fired. Is disrespectful on the phone. Billing person doesn’t bills the patient wrong .I am dropping this office and practice. Filed a report with the state. Please refund me for all visits then i will be happy."
"I moved to this office in August of 2022 to be a patient of Dr. Slongwhite. Dr. Slongwhite was great, but left the practice in April of 2023. I was having surgery in June of 2023 and for insurance approval of procedure reasons I could NOT switch my primary care doctor until post insurance approval. As I am allergic to stinging insects and asthmatic I needed an epi-pen and an inhaler. On April 24th I was told I needed to change doctors and be seen by a new doctor before they could refill my prescriptions since they weren’t prescribed by any doctor in their practice (my previous doctor was Dr. Jones of Old Saybrook Middlesex Hospital Primary Care). How this office in Madison can’t recognize the prescriptions of a fellow doctor in the same overarching practice that uses the same computer system and has all of my medical records for over 25 years is beyond me. Nurse M.L. who responded to me through MyChart as well as the unnamed nurse who called me and thinks that me explaining my situation is unacceptable and just interrupting her, both can do better with customer care. If you can’t tell already, I do NOT recommend this office. And if it wasn’t that all of my doctors and surgeon are part of Middlesex Hospital I would leave this practice altogether. This office does not seem to have the right people working patient support- at all! I have to go see my “new doctor” in this office on July 17th as I need refills and my new office I will be switching to can’t see me until Dec. 21st in Middletown- I am not looking forward to it. Middlesex Hospital Primary Care, if you read this, you need to do better. I should never dread an appointment like this because of not wanting to deal with the attitudes of your staff like I am. Do better, please."
"I’ve always had pleasant experiences here. I absolutely love Dr. Larissa Fopeano. She is attentive and really takes time to sit and talk things over with you. I can’t recommend her enough. The nurses are great too!"
"Absolutely horrible. Will be seeking a new office. Have been sick for two weeks, they refuse to see me in person, will only offer a virtual appointment. I already had one virtual appointment which was no help, still sick and they are trying to give me another telemed appointment. How can you examine a sick patient through a computer? Would not offer any reasonable explanation as to why I could not be seen in person."
