Reviews
"First visit today was great. I appreciate the referral to follow up with an ENT and there was no pressure that I had to get hearing aids now."
"I made an inquiry through their website. It took many rounds of communication (phone tag proved to be pointless and we then primarily connected through email) but I was finally able to make an appointment. It may seem trivial, but my name is important to me. I was very clear in all communications who they were speaking to. When my appointment was confirmed, the receptionist was shoring up an appointment for my wife, not me. On top of that, this request for review had a very peculiar spelling of my first name, even though it is clear on all documents. Now my first appointment, I was met with bickering between the doctor and the receptionist that was quite uncomfortable. It should have been reserved for the backroom. The time with the audiologist was good. We got to the root of my problem and she set me up for hearing aids. I have very good insurance. However, for some reason, I was forced to pay a 50% deposit out of pocket. I was assured that I would be reimbursed. After today, I am not too confident. My hearing aid fitting was scheduled a week later and my wife had to make accommodations with her schedule to ensure my sons were able to make it to their swim lessons. Then, for whatever reason, the receptionist called to reschedule my appointment for later in the afternoon the same day. That completely messed up my wife's day. About an hour before the appointment, they called to reschedule for another day. That morning comes, mind you it's my wife's birthday and we had to rearrange our plans accordingly, they call to reschedule my appointment again, but this time, ill-prepared to provide an actual time to reschedule. Very odd. I finally got another slot for two days later and at this point I waited expectantly for them to cancel again. Appointment day arrives and guess what, no call to confirm or to reassure me that it was on. No big deal, I guess. I get to the appointment and no one greets me in any manner for at least 3 minutes. I get busy, but at this point my spidey customer service senses are in high alert. The orientation went fine and the walkthrough of my new equipment went as it should. At the end, they expected me to pay the rest of the balance. It was explained to me that Anthem is not cooperating with their office. I understand small business as it was stated to me that that is what they are, however, overhead and waiting for consortium services to pay are the nature of doing business. If Anthem was a problem, then refuse providing services. On top of that, I was clear that everything needed to be processed before June 30 but now with reschedules, I am on the hook for the whole bill! I can afford it, but it's the principle of it. We pay insurance for a reason. In summary, the audiological services were good and deserve 5 stars. However, organization and administration is definitely less than 1 star."
