Dr. Deepa Camenga

Dr. Deepa Camenga is a renowned physician and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Yale, located at 150 Sargent Drive in New Haven, Connecticut. Specializing in adolescent addiction, Dr. Camenga is board certified in pediatrics and addiction medicine. Her research focuses on improving the identification and treatment of substance use disorders among youth, particularly in pediatric settings. As the Associate Director for Pediatric Programs at the Yale Program in Addiction Medicine, she plays a key role in prescribing medication treatment for adolescents with opioid use disorder. Dr. Camenga also leads an addiction medicine tele-consult service for local school-based health centers and treats adolescents and young adults at the APT Foundation. In 2017, she was elected to serve on a national American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Substance Use and Prevention. Dr. Camenga completed her medical education and residency training at the University of Rochester, NY, and a fellowship in health services research through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program at Yale.
