"Pump payment malfunctioned and as I cursed at it and backed up to another pump, the attendant came outside and nicely asked me what happened, and waited while I tried the next pump to be sure it worked OK. He apologized and went back inside. It was probably my fault anyway, but I appreciated his coming out to make sure I was good!"
"Got gas here today. Spent $60. Stayed for 4 minutes to discuss where to eat for the night with one other friend who also just spent $50. Owner came storming out of the gas station, very angrily demanding that we leave the premises. We attempted to explain that we just spent very good money there and visit for gas weekly. He said he does not want our business and to leave immediately. Very very bad service."
