"Last year, I went in to replace my iud (Skyla) that was up. I wanted to keep the same one but Dr. Burns pretty much made the ultimate decision to switch to Kyleena because it was “better”. Spoiler alert- it was not. After the insertion, I was in EXCRUCIATING pain. Not for just the first day, but THREE days. I was brought back in and was told “everything was fine we might have just ruptured a cyst during the insertion”… WHAT??? anyways- a year goes by and I’m experiencing symptoms like migraines, spotting, cramps, excessive weight gain- all things I did not have while on my previous iud Skyla. Today, I went to another obgyn to have it removed and the doctor recognized the symptoms and when he removed it immediately told me “yeahhh THAT was not in the right place at all”. I do not recommend the physician at all. She did not listen to me and was quick to make assumptions."
