"I have been waiting for a medication for over 2 weeks now. I'm struggling really bad. Its affecting me in so many ways. I keep calling the office. They keep telling me the same BS. I call when I'm available I do have a life. They keep calling at times that I cant answer. Knowing that i need the medication (ITS NOT A NARCOTIC) they keep withholding it from me, instead of just sending the prescription. The doctor was amazing but like always TERRIBLE NURSES AND RECEPTIONIST."
"I followed Kim the midwife from another practice. The access center is really nice. Only a few doors down from the old location. This is my second time at this center. They sent a reminder text with the new address, so I found the place with no issues. I saw the nurse midwife Kim, she's been my provider for years. The times of all appointments went to 15 min, but she was on time seeing me for my appointment, and had me in and out. She has listened to my problems and concerns all of these years, never making me feel rushed and always offers several options for my concerns. And this visit was no different. Very gentle exams."
"This was my 1st time at the Rocky Hill location. Kim Drakes delivered my baby actually 2 of my children. I was high risk and scared of what could happen to me during my pregnancies. I let her know how scared I was she assured me that she would do all she could to help me have a healthy full term baby. Kim was very attentive, made sure I was completely comfortable and understood all the information she gave to me including any questions or concerns I had. Sometimes I was nervous and felt I needed to be seen urgently and she would squeeze me in with no problem. There were plenty of times I was admitted to the hospital I would ask the hospital staff to let her know I was there. She would come check in on me. Having communication with them in regards to my care as well. Not only that she came in the middle of the night to deliver my daughter. Completely shocked and extremely thankful. I would recommend her to anyone. She was absolutely amazing I cannot thank her enough."
"I typically do not write reviews but I felt the need to warn other women about this office and its employees. Visiting an OBGYN office shouldn't leave you feeling worse then when you walked in. The doctor/nurse that saw me seemed annoyed that I made an appointment to discuss an issue that is concerning to me. She labeled my symptoms (these are her own words) as "Moodiness or whatever your experiencing" after I explained what I am going through. I felt rushed and disregarded, visiting a doctor's office already feeling overwhelmed with a condition is hard enough, but to feel like you are a bother or wasting their time is absolutely unacceptable. I am a Psychology student and understand that to work with people in this type of setting, we need to show a bit of compassion, something that was absolutely absent throughout the entire practice."
"10/10 WORST midwife experience for a 1st time pregnancy. 1. Midwife only supports you in the hospital if you go into labor during business hours Mon- Wed & Friday 8-4pm. I'll let you, the reader, dwell on that for a second. Here's a stat while you dwell: Most spontaneous births take place between 1:00am and 6:59am with a peak around 4am. Ultimately the midwife played no part in my delivery. 2. My appointments were with Kimberly Drakes. If you're a first time mom, she is not the right fit for you. Appointments are 3-5 minutes long. She gives you no useful information about what you could expect in each trimester of pregnancy. She rushes through each Appointment and you're trying to squeeze in whatever questions you came prepared with as she's walking toward the door. 3. My 6 week post-partum "full physical" lasted exactly 4 minutes. No exaggeration. Kim didn't even acknowledge the newborn I brought in with me after 9 months of pregnancy appointments. Maybe this could be expected from an OBGYN working at a busy hospital but not from a midwife at a private office. Do not recommend."
