"We’ve been here 2 times. Both times have been subpar. The atmosphere is cool. Waiters are cool. Drinks are okay. Food is not the best. Today we had brisket, collard greens, sweet potato fries. We got 2 slices of brisket. Fatty. Like super fatty. Before I ordered I even asked the waitress if the brisket was “well done”. She said absolutely. It really wasn’t."
"Was really excited to try this new non-chain restaurant. We drove all the way from Westfield to give it a shot and it did not meet our expectations what-so-ever. We started off with the smoked wings and fried pickles. The wings were O.K. at best. The “local sauce” was no different from a plain BBQ sauce and the dry rub just meant you were getting a dry, tasteless wing. The fried pickles were cold, but the aioli was good. The French onion soup was the most tasteless, unloved soups I’ve ever had. The croutons were terrible, the cheese was in one big ball under the broth, and the soup it self was luke warm, almost cold. The “Sweet Caroline” flat was a doughy, greasy, ricotta filled mess. Every slice you picked up all the toppings just fell right off. The tater tots that came with the bleu burger were ice cold and the gnocchi plate was a hot mess. The NY strip, for being $29, was flash food and had no flavor; and the mashed potatoes that came with it were ice cold. On the bright side, besides the food being awful and it taking forever, our waitress was awesome and made us some awesome deserts. And the manager Tim was very personable and heard us out with our complaints. Probably won’t be back, but glad we were at least able to say we tried it ( which I feel like is going to be the response from a lot of people )."
"We started with their ginger cranberry margarita and classic margarita. Both drinks tasted good but there was zero effort put into presentation. No salt/sugar rim, no garnishments, nothing. Adding a nice sugar rim with a few cranberries and rosemary sprig would have instantly elevated the cocktail and make it feel like more of an experience. My drink arrived half full while my husbands was filled to the brim. Odd. We also noticed our drinks sitting at the bar for 15min before we asked about them and they were brought over. Our appetizers took 40min to come out but I will say, they were the best part of the meal. The boneless tenders were soooo good. Piping hot, crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Their spicy umami sauce was awesome. I’d go back just for those. With that being said, the ranch was brought out in a little Ken’s container with a pull away plastic top. I felt like I was at a fast food restaurant. Something as simple as bringing the ranch over in a ramekin makes a big difference. Also, if you were to hold a gun to my head and make me decide which sauce was bbq and which was “local sauce” I’d be dead. They were exactly the same. Just plain sweet baby rays bbq with a slight kick. My husband got the clam chowder which was very good but there were no oyster crackers which is a traditional pairing for clam chowder. Our entrees came out pretty quick after the apps but they were mediocre. The Buffalo chicken flatbread did not have the same delicious chicken we received as an appetizer. It tasted like frozen Tyson nuggets. The whole flatbread just tasted state and dry. One of those meals you feel gross after eating. My husband’s burger was decent but nothing to write home about and the sweet potato fries had potential but they were overcooked and cold. Service was meh. All in all, it was like an overpriced Applebees. I probably won’t be back. Which is a shame because we live so close and were excited for something new in town. Hopefully they turn it around or they’ll probably close. Maybe I’ll be back for the boneless tenders though!"
"Recently opened, wanted to like it more. Good variety on menu, nice interior. Friendly staff, but very slow. We were seated at 6:53 but didn't receive app course until 7:44 and waitress never checked for drink refill. Food was well prepared and tasted pretty good but nothing to rave about. Burnt Ends app had a nice smoky flavor but were only warm not hot. Shephards Pie was satisfying. Tiramisu was frozen which my wife enjoyed but I was ambivalent. Will try again in a few months to see if they improve."
"We really enjoyed our first time here as a family of 4. Very great service and food. We are glad they have a very kid friendly menu option. There are a lot of TV's, so keep that in mind as that may or may not be up your alley. It didn't bother us though. The blues burger was fantastic. I love the blue cheese, bacon and sweet onion sauce. I do wish the beef patty was more salted or otherwise seasoned with a savory flavor, but otherwise was a great burger. I recommend this place. They've done a great job."
