Reviews
"I had high hope for this place. The food was ok. Everything tasted a little under seasoned and was a bit bland. The over easy eggs we asked for were cooked somewhere between over medium and over hard. Our waitress was friendly and service was quick. I could see the great ideas behind some of the specials and maybe we just had an off day for the restaurant. Overall, not bad, but not great either."
"A delightful diner that reminded me of Luke's in "Gilmore Girls". My wife and I split a "Home" meal, and we were full when we finished. We love the art items and dog photos, too."
"If you are in the Mystic, CT area and looking for a quaint “old fashioned” restaurant; that serves homemade breakfast that is delicious, you must stop and visit “Somewhere In Time”. Coffee is served in old fashioned, thick, almost unbreakable mugs that are a through-back in time. Nothing fancy, but a clean establishment, quality food and friendly staff with very good prices."
"Came here for a family brunch. It was a mostly positive experience. First, the good. The atmosphere and service were both top notch. The self serve coffee station is innovative, and having coffee to drink while waiting for a table is great for a brunch spot. The food was a bit of a mixed bag, and where the experience fell a bit short. Certain items were good. The bacon, sausage, and eggs were all cooked well and very tasty. The home fries were ok, but could have benefited from a little more salt and being crispier. The baked goods were a bit of a let down. The pancakes and french toast had a bit of a soggy texture, and no real taste aside from the maple syrup we ordered. I tasted some of my wife's banana bread french toast and my kid's waffle, and was likewise not impressed. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience -- and very close to being a great one. They must be doing something right, as they were very busy."
