"John himself is unquestionably an asset to you if you are trying to plan out how much you can commit to a Mortgage and which plan is right for you. He was unhealthily accessible and quick to return good research with incredible visualizations. He is the guy to work with. Going forward in the process we were not as impressed with Guaranteed Rate's staff for account auditing and other paperwork. Specifically Abby. Her deadlines were unreasonable, assumptions were made by which caused immense discord and unnecessary work, her communication was below acceptable, and ultimately her lack of supporting us through the process nearly pushed us away from closing. So many mistakes could have been resolved with a single phone call - so many errors avoided with a touch of communication, compassion, and education. At the end of this step in the process I was beyond dissatisfied and I deliberately waited months to leave this review so I didn't say anything unprofessional about her. Dorian was also a part of the process and was better, but if memory serves was still not the best experience. If you can get through this process then... The payment website is relatively intuitive and clear. You won't have any troubles here. The closing out of the mortgage also went smoothly. Ultimately if you get a better auditor your experience may be much better than ours. Work with John, he's amazing - he'll get what you need and quickly."
