"Yesterday afternoon, my husband and I stopped by Madison on our way home from New Jersey. We parked right in front of this bright, inviting tea shop and it struck me that a tea would be just what I needed to make it home to Boston. I have to say the tea they suggested was one of the most perfect teas I've ever had. What's a huge added bonus is that their teas can be ordered online & shipped to me, so I ordered a bag right away. "Worth the drive! I've been a lifetime tea drinker but only recently started to explore loose leave teas. I wanted to visit a tea shop to learn more and through online research found Saavy Tea Gourmet in Madison, CT. WOW! I am so glad that we took the hour drive to check it out. They took their time to determine my likes in order to make recommendations while at the same time teaching me a variety of things about tea. "I am far from an expert when it comes to gourmet tea but the experience here was amazing. The owner, Phil, and his staff were very friendly, engaging and beyond knowledgeable about the teas on offer. My partner is Chinese and Phil took the time to speak at length with her about his experiences traveling through China and served us a very specific regional tea that is from her hometown. It was a very special moment to share and we felt right at home. It was a wonderful find as we explored downtown Madison during our weekend trip and we plan to return for one of the weekly tea tasting events."

Aside from moving up and moving back to Main St, Phil and Judy are shifting into the next gear to increase educational classes with some to train to become sommelier certified.
