"Hiring Grey House Interiors was the best decision me and my wife made. From the first interaction, we were greeted by a friendly, caring, and professional Cara and knew immediately that she and Grey House interiors were right for us. She listened to our vision and worked with what we wanted to keep. She explained how everything would work with great clarity and patience. Then, the real magic started to happen. It felt like she became us and started designing and matching everything in our home with instinctive alignment to our taste and style. If there were any questions, regardless of how silly or smart, she would respond immediately. Once we had decided and agreed on design (which did not take long), Grey House Interiors arranged everything from ordering furniture and decorations to storing, inspecting, delivering and building (everything put together before arrival). Cara also shared beautiful wallpaper designs and brought in a contractor to set up the wallpapers. She organised and directed her team with great care. Her husband John came on site to build, set up, and mount any blinds or feature pieces. They transformed our home around some of our existing furniture and decorations, and turned it into a home that came straight from a magazine or HGTV show within our budget. Grey House Interiors are the best in the business. They went above and beyond our expectations. We will, without any hesitation, work with them for any future needs."

"My best friend used Grey House Interiors to decorate their new home. I loved the look and contacted Cara the next day. We met a week later and I hired Cara to help me with a number of projects to update my existing home. She met with my husband and me at our home and listened to what projects we wanted to accomplish. She asked all the right questions about what styles and colors we liked and didn’t like, and what our budget was. She listened and created a detailed proposal for our first project with pictures, furniture options, and samples for fabrics, rugs, window treatments and wallpaper. The pricing was reasonable and competitive. This of course included her expert sense of design and style. Cara is wonderful to work with to create our vision and bring it to life. Her ability to design the right combinations of textures, colors and furnishings together is truly a gift. She managed everything from delivery, setup, as well as finding the perfect finishing touches. She is very professional, and has a beautiful sense of design and attention to detail. We have worked on three large projects with Cara since 2019 – guest & kids bathroom remodel, family room/kitchen/kitchen nook remodel, and fully refurnished our condo living and dining rooms. We thrilled with the results beyond anything we could have imagined. We’ve received so many compliments from family and friends as to the transformation she expertly created for us. "In the summer of 2021, weeks into a major remodel of our canal home, we contacted Grey House Interiors for a consultation. We knew we wanted the “California Coastal” look; we just weren't sure how to achieve it. We wanted to avoid overtly beachy decor (birds/fish, nautical accents, loud colors, deliberately distressed surfaces, etc.) yet we still wanted to achieve a cool coastal vibe. Cara came out to meet with us and see the property. She was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and she clearly understood our objectives. We paid her a (research) deposit, and she returned a couple weeks later with samples and several design presentations on her tablet. We LOVED what she came up with; we LOVED her style. Not only did she find perfect items to fit our color palette, she hit the right balance of class and coastal informality. We were extremely pleased ... that was, until we saw some of the exorbitant prices on the proposal. We didn't mind spending good money to get good stuff. We expected it to be expensive, but frankly, some of Cara's item prices defied sensibility. We had planned to let Cara handle our account as a turnkey project, but prudence demanded we cherry-pick the invoice and investigate her pricing. Once we dug into the invoice/proposal, the turnkey project idea quickly unraveled. Cara's pricing was erratic. Some items were priced at market price; some were priced dramatically above market price and a number of (identical) items we found cross-branded under other trade names (at widely mixed price-points). In short, we were not confident the proposal was a sharp value for the clients (us). While Cara's decorating sense was decidedly spot-on and thoughtful, we found her business sense somewhat capricious and haphazard. Ultimately, we declined her proposal and sourced (many of) the items ourselves. Cara kept the original deposit, as agreed in the contract, and we parted ways amicably. We continue to be appreciative of Cara's counsel and advice. The process may not have developed as we expected, but we are, nonetheless, overjoyed with the final results. We still consider it money well-spent with Grey House Interiors."
