"on 1/4/24 AIT delivered a sectional that I purchased from Home Sense. We discovered after the drivers left that the chaise portion was damaged. We called the drivers who stated they picked it up that way. They never notified us of the damage. Home Sense claims it was not damaged when it was loaded on their truck, nor did the drivers notify the staff at Home Sense. Back and forth with AIT for weeks- filed their claim form. It is now going on 4 weeks and AIT has stopped replying to my emails. They have effectively ignored me. Mary from AIT claimed she was going to find a repair company to get it repaired and she has not. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. For what I paid for the furniture, it should not be broken and they should be taking responsibility for the actions of their staff."
"This review is for an Ikea order pick-up (since this company also offers delivery services). The pick up process was easy and smooth. We were greeted and assisted right away as we walked up to the building. The only downside is their limited hours (8-2:30 as of this review) and only back roads to their location, so plan accordingly. I’d definitely choose this option again in the future for Ikea orders (without large furniture)."
"I scheduled an IKEA online order for pickup at this hub. I was notified by IKEA it was delivered on May 15th. On May 17th, I called IKEA to verify that it was at the warehouse in Connecticut and not being delivered to my home in NY; they stated it was waiting in CT. Since IKEA gives you 48 hours to pick up orders before canceling them I called AIT Connecticut through their phone number on Google, letting them know I would be there to pick up my order either Friday the 19th or Saturday the 20th. They acknowledged I was coming and even told me “The hours were 9-230.” That Friday we made a 4-hour trip to the warehouse, arriving at 130, where we discovered there was no one there. After knocking on doors and windows, we eventually called IKEA. After about a half hour of waiting, they informed us they hd reached an AIT rep when the call had dropped. She believed they hung up on her. Running out of time, we called the Google AIT number and were informed we were contacting New Jersey. I explained the issue and asked the rep to contact someone at the hub to come let us in: I was (rudely) informed that “she” (whoever “she” was) said that “this isn’t happening today” and “to call IKEA.” I informed her I had already contacted them two days ago, where they verified our items were in the CT warehouse I was parked in front of, the rep said “she” wouldn’t confirm whether the items were there or not and, again, “this wasn’t happening today.” I did everything right: called both IKEA and AIT in advance to verify our order was there, let them know I was coming, and showed up early. Yet somehow I’m at fault because they can’t even keep their staff in the building during posted hours. What a joke of a company."
"I paid for delivery and gave good tips to a driver immediately he pulled up. But he was rude and disrespectful without any reason. He made me feel guilty that he has to bring my order inside my house…."
"There seems to be a pattern of non-communication with this company. My original order date was scheduled without even giving me 24 hours notice. I couldn't even get help via telephone, so I took a chance on email. I did receive a reply fairly quickly that evening telling me the earliest delivery date would be a week later, on 7/22/21. I agreed and thanked them. 7/22 came and went without my delivery. I did not receive a call 24 hours before giving me my delivery window. On 7/22 after 5pm I replied on the original email from the week before asking why my shipment was not delivered. No reply. But within 10 minutes, I received a text telling me that they regret they won't be able to deliver and I would have to reschedule. So again, I contact them about my shipment. I called the customer service line and was shunted into the automated call system. I was given the option of 3 different days. Two of the days were over a week away. The other was to give up my Saturday plans and have it in 2 days. I rearranged my schedule to be home for this delivery. Again, 24 hours ahead and no call/text/email with my delivery window as they promise they will do. Saturday 7/24/21 comes and no communication. I email on that original thread and ask if I will be sitting here all day waiting again with no shipment. Within a few minutes I received a reply that said "all customers receiving shipments have been notified. Your window is between 10am and 2pm". My reply was, "good thing for me I contacted you about my delivery window, I was about to go out." No reply. But wouldn't you know, I received a call within 20 minutes or so letting me know my delivery was on its way. Why do I have to keep contacting them to find out this information? The only up side to this whole thing was that the delivery guys were very professional and kind. I wish there was some way to give them a separate review! My recommendation is that you avoid this shipping company at all costs. I'm able to be flexible with my schedule sometimes, so this worked for me. Other people aren't so fortunate. If they had just communicated the issues it would have been so much better."
