"Massey Limo is the best limo service I’ve ever taken and I lived in NYC for 9 years. When my beloved 16 and 2/3 year old Shih Tzu, Emerson, was diagnosed with aggressive liver cancer and had to be put to sleep within 2 days of the diagnosis, I was heartbroken. I didn’t know how to live without him. So many major milestones had been lived with him by my side. I know some people like to grieve, but my grief was overwhelming and inexhaustible. I started searching for an available Shih Tzu at shelters and then reached out to dozens of breeders. Then I expanded my search to Ohio and found a little male Shih Tzu who was 4 months old. I really liked the breeder and wanted to get him the next weekend, on Good Friday. The trip to get him would be 8 hours each way. I didn’t want to stay in hotels, so Mom and I decided to book a driver for this adventure. Friends gave us a couple recommendations, but my mom reached out to someone she found from an online search. It turned out to be the best decision we could make. Mr. Massey, of Massey Limo, was attentive and helpful. Despite it being a few days before a holiday weekend, he volunteered to drive us. He checked in via text a few times before the trip to make sure everything was seamless. And it was! He picked us up at 5 am and we headed from Wolcott, CT, to Washington, PA, where the breeder would meet us at 12:30 pm. Because he timed everything perfectly, we didn’t hit any traffic going through NY to NJ. We entered PA at 9 am and a bit ahead of schedule. I texted the breeder only to find out her water wasn’t working and the repair man was due to her home in the late morning. About the time she needed to leave to meet us in PA. Mr. Massey didn’t flinch. He smoothly said get an address and we’ll go to her. He was calm when I was panicking. She lives in Ohio and that added 2.5 hours to our trip. In the end, she was able to meet us a bit further away in West Virginia. The entire trip lasted from 5 am until 11 pm. We went through 6 states twice in 24 hours. It reminded me of Gilligan’s Island where they set out for one journey and got a very different one. Through the entire day, Mr. Massey was friendly and a joy to be with. It felt like we were old friends on a road trip. He made the time fly with his sparkling wit and amazing tales of his travels around the world. We bonded over cooking Indian food. Mom and I never took a nap nor did we read or listen to music—we didn’t want to because we had Mr. Massey to talk to. He was the best travel companion. We couldn’t have gotten my puppy without him. Despite it being a holiday weekend, he went above and beyond for us and made it a fun experience that we can smile about for years to come. I couldn’t recommend anyone more highly than Mr. Massey (we called him Milford) and I’m so happy we made a new friend on our epic adventure."
