"I was a client at Medi Weightloss for almost a year, successfully down 45lbs. As soon as I hit a plateau, it was like I was doing everything wrong. At my weekly check up’s I would get yelled at and verbally judged if I hadn’t lost any weight, or if I had gained a half a pound in water weight. The solution they thought of was to put me, a 20 year old female, on phendimetrazine without consulting my previous mental health history. After being on the steroid for a few weeks, I started experiencing extreme depression and suicidal thoughts. When I stopped taking it on my own, my nutritionist judged me yet again because “the prescription was working so well and I was losing weight again”. The only reason I was losing weight was because I simply wasn’t eating, the thought of going for my weekly check in and seeing my weight go up caused me to develop an eating disorder. When I brought this up to my nutritionist, yet again they praised the fact that I was still losing weight no matter the factors. Well I quit Medi Weightloss about a year and a half ago and am still fighting recovering from an eating disorder. The “diets” that they put you on are not sustainable and just cause you to look at all carbs, including certain fruits and vegetables, as the enemy. I won’t recommend this company to anyone, all they want is your money."
