"I was referred by my dr for a small procedure that does not require general anesthesia. The secretary called me, first assuming that I am in some state of debilitation and need to get proof to have my insurance pay. When I said it would be out of pocket, she proceeded to bring up my BMI and how they “like it to be at a certain level.” I politely thanked her and bid good bye. No, I will not be going there bc I don’t need to get that kind of conversation - especially since my BMI is clearly unrelated to the procedure I needed. It’s completely inappropriate and none of her business."

"One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had was with this office. The office staff is horribly rude, especially Amy. Every interaction with her has been so unprofessional. I had my lip filler done and it migrated HORRIBLY and they refused to fix it in a timely manner. They left me with a voicemail and a last minute appointment that I could not make because of work and considered it a no show when they did not confirm it with me. Then when I complained they terminated me as a patient."

"I got FTM top surgery (double incision) from Dr. Johnson three weeks ago and I am very pleased with the results. She and her staff are very friendly, competent, communicative, and helpful. They took care of all insurance concerns for me. Irene, the scheduler for the surgery, made an extra effort to make sure my surgery happened before I got kicked off my parents insurance and I am very grateful to her for that. Dr. Johnson's work is clean, recovery is going very well. I would definitely recommend her for this procedure. For transgender patients I would add the caveat that Dr. Johnson and her office are definitely trans-informed, but not trans-competent. There was some confusion around preferred names/pronouns, but overall everyone was very eager to be as affirming as possible."
