Reviews of Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care
"Absolutely terrible! This used to be a very good place but after my most recent experience never again will anyone in my family go here. I went there on Tuesday for swollen tonsils with white spots no fever or throat soreness. 2 strep tests were taken 1 rapid and 1 to be sent to the lab. When the APRN comes in went over everything checked my lymph nodes and throat she says it just looks like tonsil stones you’re fine just gargle with warm salt water which is fine except for the fact that I knew there was no way with how my tonsils looked it was tonsil stones. I decided I would wait for the lab results. So it’s now Saturday and someone else is now experiencing the same symptoms and I haven’t received anything so I call and ask if they received the results and I was told that there was only 1 test done which was a rapid and I could come in to get another one. ok this is not true because both tests were done at the same time. My tonsils are still swollen and gross. I guess I paid a co-pay for nothing because a service clearly was not provided. So my question is what happened to the other test?"
"The staff there are extremely rude and so unprofessional! Not just to me trying to check in but to others patients there as well. Stating the fact they treat people the way they are being treated. But the problem is not the patient’s it all 4 of you there. They shouldn’t be blaming the patient because they walked in to get an x-ray when they called first to ask if you guys do x-rays and who ever answered the phone told them yes and now yelling back at them because they didn’t ask if there was a tech on site. I’m not sure how that makes any sense. Not going into details with my horrible experience of 10 mins that made me just walk out and told them to have a good day. My first and last time going in and will recommend anyone to come here unless you like being sick and get yelled at!"
"The place was very neat and clean, doctor and nurse are really nice! And it didn't seem super busy and was easy to make an appointment."
"I made an online appointment for a walk in. I showed up, was checked in right away. The front end staff was wonderful. I didn’t wait long and was brought into a room where the (I am assuming) medical assistant took my vitals, went over my meds and asked why I was there. She was also wonderful. Thats where the good service ended. The PA walks in asks why I am there. I told her I tested positive for Covid and felt horrible and was getting worse. I have a few underlying medical conditions and my primary doctor wanted me to go to the walk in. The PA was dismissive. She never even asked what my underlying medical conditions were. She said I was past the time to take antiviral medication and it was expensive. I explained my doctor said I probably couldn’t take the antiviral anyways with the meds I am on. I told her I get sinus infections and I also wanted to just make sure I didn’t have one along with the Covid. She said “Covid is going around, what are you going to do.” She listened to my lungs and that was it. Never checked my ears, nose, throat. I never even took my mask off except by the medical assistant to take my temperature. Never touched my face to see if I felt pressure or pain. I said well how will I know if I have a sinus infection as well. She said follow up with your doctor. I said my doctor told me to come here. She said you can only tell if you have a sinus infection by a CT. This is only “Urgent Care”. So this is urgent care and you don’t diagnose and treat sinus infections???? The PA heard Covid and that was it. Didn’t bother to see if I have any other issue, even after I specifically asked her. I also explained I have heart issues and was having some palpitations. I think from OTC meds I was taking for sinuses but I wasn’t sure. She never addressed it at all. No EKG. She didn’t even listen to my heart. She put the stethoscope on my back and told me to cough once. That’s all she did. She just wanted to get away from me. After she conferred with her superior, she came back and told me through the door she was calling in a couple meds for my cough. She wouldn’t even come in the room again. Horrible experience. Please don’t go here. You will not get the care you deserve or require. From the time I walked in there until the time I left was a total of about 20 minutes. Most of that time was checking my vitals and waiting for the PA to come in and to return. I do plan on filing a formal complaint as well."
"I went in with an infected finger and they had to take a culture and after they took the culture I almost passed out but they knew what to do and were very quick to act and made me feel really comfortable and that I was ok. I've taken my daughter here also and they were great with her too. I highly recommend this urgent care!"
