"I feel that both Doctors that I've experienced are not personable. I know everyone is scared of Covid, in which I did not have. I had Smoke inhalation which caused me to have a cough and chills. I was given a cough Syrup It helped a little. This doctor just checked my breathing.The next week I felt worse due to me inhaling cleaning products and I felt bad all over again with chills, swollen glands and my ears hurt. I knew I had a sinus infection. But the Doctor that examine me from afar off and just check my breathing gave me a feeling like they do not want to touch "people of color." He told me to open my mouth and he wasn't even close enough to see anything and he didn't even check my ears. I was prescribed Nasal spray and steroid pills and 2 days in and its not clearing up the phlegm that is now green."

"I waited 5 hours to see a physician. The facility was unable to test for what I was concerned I had (RSV). After being told they wanted to do an EKG on me, the machine wasn't working, and they couldn't go through with it. I was informed that it could be a week before I receive test results. Four days later, I was called to ask if I could come back and retest because my test samples weren't properly stored temperature wise. AWFUL experience from top to bottom. I'd never return. A waste of time, a waste of copay. I'll be following up to ensure my insurance company is not billed for this visit."

"Every staff member was kind, helpful and caring. Our doctor and nurse quickly diagnosed the issue and made us feel well taken care of. We could not have asked for better care."

"Reception is always nice but the current medical staff seem to lack empathy. I’ve always chosen this location when in need of urgent care. The day after my visit, I phoned to request a return to work letter 1 day later than originally written for due to the pharmacy closing before filling my antibiotic script. The employee who answered the call insinuated I was lying. When I explained my employer would not allow me to return to work without starting antibiotics for strep throat the response was “you told this to your employer”. Absolutely!!! I work in healthcare. She then put me on hold for about 7 minutes “to check my chart”. When she returned she states “sir I’m going to have to call you back, I have a lot of people in front of me and there is a lot I have to explain to you. What? I have not heard back from them. Just be transparent! A simple sir this is not our policy would have sufficed. I will never choose Hartford health again nor would I recommend this as a place to receive care. This employee demonstrated what the work culture is at this location, treat people as if they are seeking narcotics."
