"When I first moved to Danbury 3 years ago I took my daughter to a different clinic which I was not satisfied at all not knowing that Dr. Paulhus Office was really around the corner from my home. Although my first visit was when the pandemic first hit I have to say that her care and attention to every detail concerning my child was excellent. She takes the time to explain everything that concerns my daughter‘s health and for that I am grateful. I totally recommend 110%"
"We love Dr. Paulhus! Ever since we switched from our old pediatrician about two years ago she has been so welcoming, kind, warm and helpful. She is completely thorough and always makes sure that my daughter is doing her greatest. She goes above and beyond for our family. Thank you for being so amazing!!! :)"
"She never listened to my husband and always ignored his questions, but would answer them if I asked them. She has PAs in training, they are students not certified yet. Never felt my concerns were listened to, it was her way or no way. She didn't seem to be update on many things either. Rooms are very small. Prescriptions always took at least a day to be called in. Never answers the phone or calls back after I would leave a message. Very rude when we told her we were switching pediatricians, we needed our kids medical records, legally she has 30 days to give them to us. Receptionist told us "we have 30 days to get them to you, you can pick them up on day 29." Closed on Wednesdays which I think is super weird."
"When we arrived for our 10 day old baby's first appointment , we were met by a young inexperienced teenager receptionist. Turns out she is not only the receptionist, but also the intake "nurse" who took the baby's vitals as well. We had to wait almost 30 minutes after our appointment was scheduled for to see the doctor. The doctor told us she hires high school and college students who have an interest in the medical field and uses them to assist with things during the appointments. These are not experienced professionals and really shouldn't be left alone in this position by the doctor to handle other people's newborns or infants. The doctor conducted an exam and then wasted more of our time by inquiring about my wifes and my work. This would be no problem if there was even a hint of warmth, interest , or personality - but instead it was cold , dry , invasive and impersonal. The doctor had us schedule a weight check for one week later , didn't seem necessary but we said ok. Upon arriving at the office at exactly our scheduled time , we waited in the waiting room for ten minutes before a receptionist appeared. She told us it might be another ten minutes before we were seen. At this point I realized the doctor is paying one teenager to answer her phones, schedule appointments, as well as intake the patients, run their vitals and assist the doctor all at the same time ! I told her we were going to find another doctor as this is the second time(consecutively) we were going to be forced to sit in a cold waiting room with sick patients coming in for over 20 minutes past the scheduled appointment time. This as well as the doctors cold impersonal manor and her hiring exclusively inexperienced college and high school students while tasking one person to be the receptionist as well as the patient intake and vitals taker is extremely unprofessional and seems to be taking advantage of younger inexperienced labor. After we told the girl we couldn't wait another 20 minutes / possibly longer and we were going to find another practice all she said was "ok" , like we were telling her that her bike would take a week to fix. I also wrongly assumed the doctor would have been disturbed enough by new patients walking out and quitting her practice that she might have called to offer an apology or anything , but nope. While we were thankful she took our child as a patient, it doesn't warrant the treatment we received at this practice. My advice to anyone is to avoid at all cost, the staff is young and has zero experience and the doctor is content to schedule un needed appointments (weight check one week after just having one ??) and hiring school aged kids with no background and tasking the same person that will be handling your children with also answering the phones and running her office at the same time. One star is quite frankly too many. Also the pictures above are NOT of her office"
