Stamford Shoe Repair

"My nice leather shoes got ruined and I was hoping this guy could’ve helped me. By reading the other reviews, I walked in knowingly he was going to be grumpy but thought i’d try anyway since the other places couldn’t have offered me any help either. When I walked in, he didn’t even say “hello” or “how can I help you?” or even acknowledge my presence. He then said I didn’t explain to him what I wanted done when I clearly showed him where the damage was. I told him I wasn’t going to deal with his attitude that morning. So he looked at my shoes and just plainly said they’re ruined and nothing could been done. So I just walked out. He’s your classic grumpy, miserable, old man that’s upset at everyone and the world. I feel bad for anyone that has to cross paths with him. In addition, I would not trust anyone like that with my expensive belongings in their hands. In the end, I found out a way to fix the shoes myself anyway. I’d highly suggest you find someone else more competent and easier to deal with."

"I absolutely love this guy. He has a dry sense of humor that people do not understand that’s all. He’s a real gentleman, when you get to know him. This is why the other reviewers say these things. His craftsmanship is top notch, I’ve been going to him for years! His attitude is a very healthy one. If you don’t like it, don’t let the door hit you on the way out!"

"He is a grumpy, nasty human being. He didn't tell me the price when I dropped off the shoes. He charged the customer in front of me $20. Then proceeded to charge me $65 for the same job!!!!! He said if I didn't want to pay he would keep my shoes and sell them. NEVER GO TO THIS EVIL MAN!!!!"

"This old man is the most despicable person I’ve ever came across in my life. He is rude, condescending, and has the meanest attitude towards his customers. I agree with the other reviewers here who experienced his rudeness. He shouts at his customers even without provocation. I went to his shop to have the sole of my shoe repaired. When I came back, I complained that the sole was not repaired and he started shouting at me to get out of his store. He said he will call the police and I told him go ahead. He brags that he’s in the shoe business for more than 20 years. I told him if that is so, then why can’t he fix my shoe properly. This old man should close shop! He is a disgrace to the greek community."
