Optum Lab Draw Station - Lake Success 1 Dakota Drive, New Hyde Park, NY 11042

"Terrible place. Receptionist was in a hoodie with her head covered and was playing music while people were lining up. She refused to speak, and then all of a sudden yelled out that those here for bloodwork should sign in. She then made a personal call, still playing music, while patients with questions were ignored. Totally unprofessional. The receptionist finally asked me for a urine sample, before my bloodwork session began, and when I brought it to her she screamed “I don’t want it! Bring it in there!” She didn’t bother to tell me which room. I went to the lab draw station in another room, chose a random room and happened to be right, and the technician yelled for me to place a urine sample in a bin that was blocked by a chair. She yelled a few times to put it in there. When I finally found the bin, again blocked by a chair, she let out a loud sigh. When I sat for the bloodwork, she was too busy asking her coworker to put extra brown sugar in something she was about to have, and refused to answer my questions about the order that was put in from my doctor. She then yelled out to reception about the order. If anyone gets a request to go this lab draw facility by one of their physicians, please refuse, abs mage them do it in the office. The staff here at the 1 Dakota Dr. blood draw station are horrible. Horribly unprofessional, rude, lazy, and frankly lacking intelligence."

"The worst experience in the world. The customer service is horrific they talk down to people. No office Manger anywhere to be found. Tons of people sitting and waiting complaining they are hungry and need to eat. Their excuse oh we are helping people in the back for other issues. I was told to shoe and my show was over. I didn't cause a show. I was a patient with a 3 yo who was starving and spoke up. Lab techs just standing around, when something is said to them they gave dirty looks and disappeared with attitude. I would never recommend anyone here. Multiple employees from different offices witnessed this and can't believe how bad their behavior was. This place should be shut down and have new professionals hired. The joint commission would have a field day in here. No I am not overreacting I am stating Facts."

"There were 20 patients in the waiting room and no one called a single person in 30 mins. No communication. Nothin. This place is horribly run"

"I find the people in the lab draw station professional and very kind and great at what they do. They are very hard working.This rating is against OPTUM - the new company who took over ProHealth. I need to repeat bloodwork and went out to 1 Dakota Drive on January 2nd because, although the website said "New Year's Day (observed) may affect these hours" , under hours it said "Open" in green letters "until 6pm". I called to verify, but the number sounds a busy signal three times and then disconnects you. I drove out, waited 30 minutes, and no one showed up. There was a sign on the door indicating hour changes over Christmas but NOTHING for the New Year. If you are going to give your customers the convenience of online information it needs to be CORRECT information. Your phone number needs to at least reach an active voicemail with CURRENT information. Shame on whomever is responsible for your online presence."

"The lake success lab draw station is the best. My son usually passes out with blood work. But this time he didn’t. Nicholas took his time and his calm demeanor was the key. He was patient and caring. This is the only lab draw station I will go too. They are so efficient and professional. A+++"
