"I had a 12:30 appointment with the Notary. I showed up for my appointment and was advised to come back in 30 minutes as the notary was taking his break. No issue with taking a break, but it seems counterintuitive to have an online appointment booking system if people are not going to adhere to that schedule or look at in advance."
"I got in here at 6:31pm on a weekday and they closed the store right in front of me and wouldn’t take a package. Bad customer service. Two young guys acted like nothing happened."
"I bought some books and a print at auction. They did one of the best jobs I've ever had packing them. Perhaps too good, difficult to think they could have made much money with the amount of time it must have taken to bag and wrap with bubble wrap each volume. They also shipped two boxes so the books wouldn't smash my wall hanger. A+ job"
"Don't use this place. I went in a few days ago to mail a few items to my sister's family. I didn't have a box so I asked if I could buy one. The clerk was very friendly and measured the small pile of items, which included a Pokemon card for my nephew that was worth about $10. He said he would take care of packing the items and asked what they all were (some were wrapped in wrapping paper). I told him that one was a shirt and one was a metal Pokemon card. I made a little joke with him about the card being a small item and hopefully it wouldn't get lost before being put into the box, because they didn't box the items in front of me. They took the items somewhere into the back to be packaged. The clerk smiled and said, "No problem, we got it!" When the package arrived at my sister's house, the Pokemon card was gone. I called the store to follow up and they said, "oh, we don't see it." They took my name and number but nobody has called me back. It obviously went missing somewhere in the store. Either it was misplaced or someone stole it. I know it's just a Pokemon card but the point is that customers' items should be treated with care, and clearly they don't do that here. Fedex from here on out."
"The short story: a 2 day delivery package sat at this store for almost 2 full days before being entered into the system, the manager/owner was very rude when I complained about this and called my mother (the sender) a liar, I was guaranteed that the package would be sent to a new address within the next 5 days and it did not arrived, I had to cancel half of my vacation and lost hundreds of dollars on non-refundable reservations, my passport was in over 20 different places over 2 weeks because of this stores incompetence. The long story: Just horrible customer service and completely unreliable. I was going on vacation in California and we made last minute plans to drive over the border and spend a few days in Mexico, however I live in Miami and my passport was at my parents home in CT. My mother brought my passport here, paid $40 extra for two day shipping, and it did not arrive on time. I understand that two day shipping is not guaranteed, but I called the national UPS customer service number and was told that MY PACKAGE JUST SAT AT THE STORE FOR 36 HOURS! I was already irate at this point, and it only gets worse! I immediately called the store to inquire about why my package wasn't entered into the system for a whole day and a half, and was quickly passed off the manager/owner. I was already very angry, but instead of trying to defuse the situation and rectify their mistake, this person spent 15 minutes on the phone arguing with me. He called my mother a liar, saying she didn't arrive at the store until after the trucks left at 5:30pm when I had a picture of the receipt in front of me that very clearly said she was there at 1:00pm. It only took 15 min for this man to realize he was clearly in the wrong, but I was just insulted at this point and couldn't stand talking to this person for another second. I called back a few hours later to have them forward the package to my friend's house in California and they tried to charge me even more money to fix their mistake, which I refused to pay. The manager GUARANTEED me that the package would arrive within 5 days. I told him that if it did not arrive then my passport would be stranded across the country and that I wouldn't do this if there was any chance of it not making it there. Surprise, surprise, my passport didn't arrive at my friends CA house until 8 days later. At this point I already had to cancel half my trip, was out hundreds of dollars in non-refunded reservations, and I still had no idea where sensitive government documentation was. After trying to charge me for a third time, I did not receive my passport in Miami for over 2 weeks after the original send date. My passport was at over 20 different places throughout this time, and I was very worried about further mishandling of my sensitive property. Once the passport finally arrived in Miami, it wasn't even sent to the proper address and I had to drive an hour there and back to pick it up at a fulfillment center. This was a shipping story straight from hell, and it was all due to the incompetence of one or a few people. There are other UPS stores in the Stamford area, so stay as far away from this one as you can."
