George’s Island Park Dutch Street, Montrose, NY 10548

"this park is beautiful and has a fantastic outlook. the pavilion is large and pretty. however, the only major issue is the park staff, especially the park supervisor. there were two large picnics, both of which were having a good time and blasting loud music. the supervisor had a complaint about our picnic since we used a microphone and played loud music (although we did not play the music continually). because of this, our supervisor only called the cops during our picnic. the supervisor/police officer kept asking us to pack up and leave even though it closed at 8pm and that time was around 4-5pm. the supervisor then shut the bathroom doors when most people needed to use the restroom. the most shocking part is that when people got angry because the supervisor locked the bathroom, the supervisor responded by saying, "this bathroom is now locked, and you can use the other bathroom." this makes no sense considering it closes at 8 p.m. and the other bathroom was open. that just shows that the supervisor was frustrated and being extremely unkind. this supervisor got angry and demanded that we leave early, despite the fact that all we wanted was to have fun."
