Horace Clark Woods

"There are two sugggested parking areas and trailheads for the Horace Clark Woods. I used the North Lost Acres Road lot, as access is on an asphalt road, with room for several vehicles. The trail head was supposed to be across the street, but nothing was found. No blazes, or signs of activity. Walking up and down a quarter mile, yielded no clues. Instead, I walked down to Fuller Road, a dirt and gravel road with connections to CT-179/Granville Road. The uphill journey led to several trails going off into either the H-C Woods or the Tunxis State Forest. The the most obviolus marked trailhead was chosen. No blazes, but there was plenty to explore. Signs of dirtbike activity and campfires were seen. Wildlife spotted include a lone turkey, and a tadpole transitioning to a frog. There is a spot for anglers near the intersections of North Lost Acres and Fuller Roads. No other facilties for trash or having a picnic."
