"Great park with lots to see. Many trails run through the area, and there is quite a bit to explore. The power lines definitely detract from the area, but the rest is definitely worth your time."
"For southern Connecticut, this is extraordinary. The falls and surrounding forest are beautiful, and there's even some ledges to climb on! The only deterrents I can think of is constant road noise and the power lines, although the lines themselves open up a few nice viewpoints that wouldn't be there otherwise."
"I only give this place a one star and I never do that because I really enjoy nature very much but I give this place a one star because everything was so overgrown that you could not even see any blue markers I started to take a loop path headed towards Bear Hill and once you start walking it is so overgrown I ended up with ticks all over me because the trail was not properly marked either I ended up going around in a circle two times and almost got lost even though I was following the all trails app. Whoever maintains this is not taking care of it please work proper bug spray and make sure you have more than one map open when you do this if you're not familiar with the area."
"We did the blue/yellow-blue loop and loved it! You walk through a diverse forest with lots to look at. It gets a bit tricky when walking near the electrical lines because you have to scramble up some rocks, but that’s the only difficult part. We did it with our dog and it took about an hour and 20 minutes. We’ll definitely do this again! The picnic area is not very inviting, but there are some nice places go get into the water."
"We entered Seven Falls by parking along Saybrook Road. The picnic are was right there alongside the river and waterfalls. The picnic area had some litter, and though the falls were small, my three kids (9, 6, and 3) found them very exciting. Crossing the river led us to the trails on the other side where the great rock sculptures are. We were not bothered by the power lines or their humming, we focused on the view, the rocks, and nature. Due to time limitations, we didn't hike further back into the trees, but will come back to explore more in the future."
