"Very poor and unprofessional costumer service! I was a remember of this facility for sometime mainly interested in the swimming pool for my 10 year-old daughter. Earlier this month, per my bank recommendation,I had to replace my credit card due to fraud activities. This impacted many automatic bill payments related to this account including the Y membership. Most of my service providers that I deal with called or notified me so I went and update my credit card info to maintin automatic bill payments. The Y don’t notify me! Instead, They put my membership on hold and added extra $10 fees without even contacting me. When I went there with my daughter on a weekend, running late, for a swimming session. I was told that my credit card was bounced and that I can’t enter without providing a new credit card info and pay extra $10. I said that’s fine but can we do it after we finish the swimming session as it was less than one hour left to close the pool. They refused to do so and said I can’t enter the place. I asked why didn’t they call or even send an email or message like all other service providers? They said they don’t call but they charge bouncing fees! I said your system is capable of charging clients but doesn’t have the courtesy to notify them if something goes wrong like any professional and responsible service provider business! They said yes, the system doesn’t have that! What a costumer service relationship, right? Anyways, after dealing with a rude receptionist, I requested speaking to a manager/supervisor. It was not better at all! I explained to them that I would do it after the swimming session as I don’t carry my wallet to the gym but please let us do our session for the sake of my kid! They refused! I canceled my membership on the spot and walked away. I don’t want to have business with inconsiderate, unprofessional business anymore. I felt really bad that my daughter had to go through such unpleasant experience."

"My 2 year old son and I really enjoy this location. The gym is nice, the classes are great, and the child watch center is fantastic! The down side of this location are the family swim pool hours as well as the temperature of the pool. My son loves to swim in general but really dislikes his swim lessons here because of the shock of the cold water when he gets in."

"Terrible location. Full of snobs. Even had a man sent into the shower by the manager.. he fake plunged a drain next to me. I was the only guy in that area. The shower was unused and had no signs of being clogged. After he looked me over he left. A shame."

"Both my 1 year old grandson, 72 year old me and my observations bring me to believe that everyone loves this place. The facility has everything you need and the view??? OMG, the party room has a better view than many expensive event places I've been to. Wish I lived closer."

"t's fun to play at the YMCA, especially when the YMCA has a beach The staff at the Y is outstanding. The recently completed renovations are absolutely astounding - the cardio and strength equipment are in a spacious, well-ventilated room with beautiful views of the Mystic River. The group fitness rooms are clean and well equipped, and the locker rooms are adequate."
