"THERE’S A REASON THIS COMPANY IS THE LOWEST RATED POOL SERVICE ON GOOGLE AND YELP All of the reviews you read about no-show appointments and shoddy workmanship are exactly what I experienced. But they leave out the gaslighting that Swimming Pools by Jack Anthony inflicts upon its customers. A case in point are a few recent experiences I had. First, we received notice that we hadn’t paid one of our bills. I thought that was strange since the company charges our credit card. It wasn’t true, but they kept the lie going and even put our service on hold, even though we told them we would pay the additional charge just to maintain a good relationship with them. Then there are the times they billed for service that never happened. For example, last summer, I found a bill in my mailbox supposedly from someone who had added chemicals and vacuumed my pool that afternoon. The only problem with that scenario is that I was doing landscaping around the pool all day, and not once did anyone show up. And there are multiple other times when they would show up on a day when a storm was blowing in. Imagine being charged for a pool cleaning when it was evident that the pool would be a mess in a few hours. And then there was the new Loop-Loc cover I bought last year. It collapsed into the pool during the winter because the service tech -- who did the closing -- dropped the water level too low. When the heavy snow accumulated on the cover, there was nothing to support the weight. The service manager then told me the low water level was due to a leak in my new vinyl liner. There was no leak. I was just being gaslit once again. The company started off great. In fact, we were with this company longer than any other we’ve contracted with. But I should have fired them when things began going downhill a few years ago, and I had to call them almost weekly about various issues that constantly arose. The final straw is the condition of the pool in the attached photo. More than two weeks after a supposed opening, this is how it looks. And this is after one of their guys dumped shock into the pool when it was ¼ full due to the aforementioned faulty closing, and the filter couldn’t be run because of the water level. I hope the shock that sat in a few feet of stagnant water didn’t damage the liner. Swimming Pools by Jack Anthony is a great example of why pool services have such a bad reputation. Michael, the current owner, was informed of the recent issue and didn’t bother reaching out to rectify the problem. Business owners can’t run their operations like a social interaction at a middle school lunch table, and when they do, it’s understandable why they become the lowest-rated company in their sector. Update: It's year after they installed a new light, and the thing is already broken; not working at all Just another reason not to patronize this "servive"."
"I had an appointment scheduled with Michael Inzerillo at Swimming Pools by Jack Anthony scheduled for 11/18/21 at 12 PM. He was a no-show. I never received a call or email to reschedule and I'm guessing they didn't even know they missed it. They seem disorganized since I read the 3 other Google Reviews and they have had multiple no-shows. I am not willing to spend $100,000 on an in-ground pool and spa for a company that does not care or is not organized to keep appointments. This is a huge investment and I need someone I can count on to show up and be there."
"Cancelled on me twice. Must be nice to not care enough about acquiring new work. Glad I didn't hire them."
"STAY FAR AWAY!!!! This is my first year using these guys and I will not be using them again!! The owner Jack and the guys who come (which is rare) are super nice but the ladies on reception are monsters and every day I call they say “I’m on the schedule to vacuum tomorrow”. Complete liars. This pool has been open for a month and still not ready to swim in. They have not vacuumed once... I am so disappointed and when I said that they said they don’t understand why. BECAUSE I’M PAYING 3 GRAND AND THE POOL HAS NOT EVEN BEEN VACUUMED YET. Complete rip off."
"I have had 2 missed appts by Michael I. -owner; and no call backs- I have been calling for 3 days and he has not the decency to respond. This was for the initial meet to discuss this new project. I wasted 2 eves waiting for him! Can you imagine hiring this a company? No one is even available to discuss this when I call- very unprofessional."
