"We love the ECC. The staff is great, the programs we have tried have been fun for the kids and a great learning experience, and the summer camp is great!!! My son looks forward to it and each year I feel they make it better and better. We love pulling up to the music playing and the lively teachers waiting to greet us"
"I gave it three stars only because of the good teachers. However, the school’s system and policies are unbearable! First, during the Covid-19 lockdown, the school closed for half year and no refund although the teachers were not getting paid during that time. They emailed out asked if you would like to donate, and I forgot to response. When I called back, one of the directors told me that “we just decided to donate the tuition instead of giving you a refund.” It was so disrespectful! I was actually going to donate if they gave me full refund, but when I heard that, I decided not a penny! However, they refuse to give me full refund because they need to get paid not the teachers though! Do we get paid staying at home watch the kids? Hell NO!! Playtots is a private pre-school but it adopts whatever policies that are self- convenient. For example, Playtots follows the town’s climate and educational policies and makes adjust. However, they don’t have a full year like the elementary school, middle school, or high school. The school always has extra days off for holidays and two weeks oof earlier before other school ends. When it’s snow days, they decide NO SCHOOL, early dismissal, and delayed opening because they want their staff and teachers being SAFE despite of the roads are always perfectly plowed! Hi, if I can drive my kids to school safely, why not the staff and teachers?! By the way, the school closed for more than 10 days this year so far! I often receive emails of donations about teachers’ birthday parties and holidays gifts, and I decide not to do it this year. I don’t want it to become a norm in fact it is now at school. Nevertheless, I can at least choose not to endorse it anymore! If you are the parents simply just want to send you children to a pre-k school and do not want to deal with “surprises” and the ridiculous policies, Playtots probably is too much for you to handle!"
"Easily a 5 star rating. The building is very clean and the faculty is very well run. I have been going here since I have been a teenager and they always had unique programs for me to join and stay out of trouble. The staff has shirts that say “professional role models” and it is not only creative but it is true. I’ve engaged with many of the staff and they are all passionate ate about what they do and bring the energy every day. I’m older now and my son goes to the play tots program and I can not be more delighted. They share photos with me regularly, teach him all these wonderful things, allow him to express his creativity and he gets plenty of exercise from gym class, both inside and outside the facility. One of my favorite things about our current experience with the play Tots program is that we get an elaborate email weekly about what has happened and what they upcoming curriculum and plans are. Lastly, the staff throws very thought through, well organized events for the parents to come too so they can see what they are teaching the children. They sing to us every time and it’s adorable. Very happy I made the decision to send my son here and as of right now I’ll be sending him here for camp and after school for a long time to come. Lastly, the faculty has a large gym with adult leagues, a teen center with a ton of games. There really is something for everyone here. My family has rented out the facility numerous times to have family gatherings. It’s a fair price and always a great time! Make sure to challenge yourself on the rock wall!"
"The ECC does a good job tailoring their children's programs in an age appropriate manner. My kids have progressed through the different levels of summer camp that are offered and have also taken part in the after school teen center. The staff is professional and energetic. Additionally, the ECC has plenty of Adult programs as well. I can only speak from personal experience of their fitness programs - which are terrific. The instructors are knowledgable, involved and fun."
"The ECC after school program at Holland Hill School is a wonderful experience for my kindergarten granddaughter. She is loving it! The professional staff, led by Emily Regan, greets the kids with enthusiasm, snacks and fun activities. The vibe in the room is great. I am so grateful that our youngster looks forward every day to being with new friends and playing with the counselors. She proudly brings home fun crafts she's made. She is thriving in this healthy and loving atmosphere. It's an outstanding place to play and learn."
