About the Business
Mackavi Martial Arts is a new and small martial arts studio located in Griswold, Connecticut. Our focus is on providing personal attention to each student by going back to the roots of smaller dojos with less overhead. We offer two main programs: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Krav Maga self defense, which run independently at different times but complement each other well. Additionally, we offer Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines dance, acrobatics, and music to develop balance, coordination, and fitness. Our children's program introduces martial arts fundamentals and important values like self-control, confidence, and respect. We recently had a strong representation at the New England Submission Challenge and our students have excelled in various competitions.
