"I was an Artist-in-Residence at Haddam Elementary School. I was impressed with the school's interest in having students participate in a school mural project as well as a public art project. Both project engage students in learning about their local community and being an active citizen. The mural we made together is in the front entrance. We also made banners that were installed on public streets depicting the song America The Beautiful! Great way to learn about America, democracy and participatory citizenry."
