Reviews of Fox Theater
"If you're seeing a show at the Foxwoods Theater, the best and easiest way to get to it is to park in FOXWOODS TOWER. Once you park and head to the elevator, you'll be going DOWN to the theater, which is not a far walk from that parking lot. Just a few minutes of a walk. Once you get into the casino, you'll finally see the big signs that show you which direction to take. Parking was free and no tickets were required upon entering. The theater is maintained and clean. Washrooms were clean. No intermission during the show and the place was completely closed to buy anything. Signs outside said NO OUTSIDE FOOD/DRINK allowed. They do make you go through metal detectors and you're not allowed to bring any shopping bags with you, so they tell you to go drop them off in your hotel room or car. We purchased our tickets at the box office (on the same day) and the staff was incredibly rude. Particularly a woman named Sultana, who kept rolling her eyes and being exceptionally unprofessional and unaccommodating. Her manager was there also, a female with dark hair, looked native and she gave us the wrong information to start with so, once we were trying to establish what was right, they continued with their poor service. We wanted to know which seats we were paying for and she clapped back, annoyed that we were asking her questions and muttering to herself with face expressions/eye rolls and abrupt speech, showing lack of any customer service skills. I was thrown off by her immediate attitude and when she requested my credit card, I asked, where would we be seated? and she literally screamed out "Do you want these tickets, or not?" and the male employee next to her, flung along the seating chart because he heard me asking, and she just said "Section # ", yes or no? and as I looked down to the chart, there was no numbers or letters on it so I reluctantly asked to be shown where it was located, to which, she threw her finger on there to quickly show me. Horrible experience! We were told there were very limited seats left and no options. I was requesting closer seats to the stage but literally she was short tempered and quickly said "No". We were told there was going to be very little leg room, but we had enough, luckily and thankfully! Not all seats do! VIP seats are wider and are more comfortable, as we asked the usher, once we were being seated in the theater. Thankfully, that gentleman was nice and knowledgeable. Anyway, overall, the experience turned out to be memorable because the show was phenomenal. For customer service, if you're buying your tickets at their box office, I'd say, good luck! Customer service fails tremendously. There was absolutely nobody behind us in line and I was polite so there was no reason for their attitude and behavior. At some point, their system was glitching, while she got frustrated and kept rolling her eyes, so the Manager, was abruptly called over to help solve the ticket issue, until they were finally able to print the tickets for our group. What a disaster! Line-up was huge but we were going in pretty fast so no issues there. They do have a security check area and you're NOT ALLOWED to bring in shopping bags. Another reason why signs are important is because as we were in the entrance line, people kept coming up asking us what the line was for. Nobody knows how many shows are playing at the same time or if the line was for the show or a group, etc. It was confusing for many people because some theaters seat you by levels and people didn't know if they were in a ticket line or theater entrance line. There was no poster of the event, and the TV was playing advertisements of upcoming shows but not showing who was currently playing for the day. Just chaos. Overall, Foxwoods is huge and beautiful casino. Well-kept and full of entertainment for all different ages. I'd see another show there but hopefully, they train their employees better or switch them out for better ones that actually put care and effort."
"This is a small quaint theater and we went to go see Kinky Boots. You really can't get a bad seat until I heard the people behind us super complaining because they couldn't see over us to see the show. The handicapped seating is all the same level and then a row behind that. So I felt bad about that. So Beware when choosing seating. The show was fabulous and the service was awesome. What a great time."
"This is one of my favorite venues. I first went there a couple months ago for Chris Angel and I was impresses with the security, organized and friendly employees, and clean venue. I decided to give it another try and was pleasantly surprised. I can now say they are consistently great. I experienced the same great, freindly, secure theater as tge first time. Nancy showed us to our seats. We were in row CC. She was great. We saw Vic Dibitetto and he was fantastic. We laughed till we cried. We can not wait until next month to go to another show. Great job Foxwoods!"
"The guests that play here are very good. I've enjoyed multiple shows here. That said, the theater is frustrating. The seats are on the smaller side, they don't move whatsoever, and the isles are very narrow. If you're tall, or large, or interested in being comfortable then good luck.... The only saving Grace to this place is that there really isn't a bad seat in the house. You can buy almost any seat and have a solid viewing experience."
"Nice theatre! Smaller than the grand theater but great for a comedy show or concert"
