"My children, who are just shy of becoming adults, and I have visited the Storrowton Tavern 3 times in the last month. Twice for dinner, and once for the Sunday buffet. All three times were excellent. The food was fresh, hot, served quickly, tasted excellent and was very reasonably priced for the quality and portions provided. My 18-year-old son tried scallops for the first time, and he’s now a scallop connoisseur. The breakfast buffet, which is available every Sunday, was amazing. There was an array of different items to choose from. Anything from fresh fruit, pastries, different versions of eggs, waffles as well as pancakes and French toast, meats and seafood. Everything we tried was tasty. We didn’t feel rushed and left very satisfied all three times. Josh, our server twice, was attentive, personable, and gave me a great recommendation on what to try from the menu. The atmosphere is very cozy for a home that was built in the 1700s. A lot to look at. I’ll definitely keep this on my list of great options when choosing to dine out with friends and family."
"Very good food, but it is VERY noisy. Granted, it was Saturday night, the middle of the largest train show in North America, so it was nearly sold out, but there are ways to control noise they should look into. It was difficult for our party of five to converse. Our waiter was very good, attentive, making sure we were getting everything we wanted, all with good humor."
"Met a group for lunch. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Food delivery in a timely manner. Sadly the chicken pot pie was not to Storrowton's usual quality. Chicken was very chewy, carrots were undercooked and gravy was very bland. Others in the group were very pleased with their meals Restrooms and other areas of this historic establishment badly need a deep cleaning, including the thick layer of dust on curtains in both first floor restrooms."
"We started off with the stuffed mushroom caps with melted cheese. They were delicious and for our main course I had the Caesar salad with blackened salmon and my wife had the baked scrod with rice and butternut squash which she loved . It came in a good size portion and she had lots of leftovers . We followed dinner with dessert, my wife had the nepolitiano truffle and I had the lemon Italian cream cake both were excellent."
"While attending the Big E fair with my sister, we decided to have dinner here. The French onion soup was delicious, the dinner salad nice, and the entree (pot roast) was good. Nothing to write home about, but good. Server seemed confused throughout: forgot to serve the drinks we ordered, brought appetizers and salads together, gave my sisters check and credit card to the wrong table, etc. We still left a $20 cash tip on a $76 meal though."
