Reviews of Rowdy Hall
"The new Rowdy Hall in Amagansett is horrible. Empty tables at 6:00 and were told there would be an hour wait and we needed to wait at the bar even though we had under aged children with us. The hostess said it didn't matter and children were fine sitting at the bar. Once we were seated, we were told that our two children ages 7 and 9 were too old for the children's menu and we would have to pay full price. When we asked the hostess, she said if we didn't like it, we could go to McDonalds. We were overcharged by $28.00 and when I mentioned it to the waitress, she told us that she added in her tip for us since we seemed too concerned with our children. What a horrible and rude place. The food was awful and cold. Not cooked. When we left I asked to speak to the manager and the Hostess told me to leave the premises. Now they get the feedback."
"Great service and overall vibes. We had a round of drinks that were good along with some wings. The wings were your typical bar food and nothing special. Annabelle our server was super nice and informative when giving suggestions and came to check on us often."
"To say that Rowdy Hall is "average" would be a disservice. Dinner for 3 at this casual tavern was over $200 with just one beer and tap water. The highlight of the meal was the giant Bavarian pretzel with mustard which was delicious. The chicken wings were disgusting. The French Onion soup lacked any richness or flavor (for $18!!!) and the burger with blue cheese was meh (patty was thick, and too small for the bun). To top it off, we had a bus boy bump into our table 3 or 4 times as he was clearing the table next to us. It's a shame because the space is perfect for a tavern in town. A few suggestions: bring back the regular menu staples such as the chili and the meatloaf. Install some sort of sound absorbing tiles so people can converse... and aim for better food. If everything was as good as the Bavarian Pretzel you'd be the best casual spot on the East End."
"EVEN BETTER NOW IN AMAGANSETT - I have been a regular who has always enjoyed Rowdy Hall. It is one of the few places in EH where you can enjoy a meal and just feel comfortable. When I heard they were moving I was upset but I think they are so much better in Amagansett because the vibe was always off a bit in EH. So now that they moved I finally went and I just love it even more. The menu has been "refreshed" and the food and atmosphere are great. What a fun block they are on. At 6PM it was packed. We were greeted by the GM Kim who gets it. Her energy is infectious. You can tell that she truly loves what she does. Not an ounce of "attitude" and she runs the place like a pro. In this new location it will be my "go to" restaurant even though it is a little further away. Prices are not inflated and you can never go wrong with the Rowdy Burger. In fact based on tasting what everyone had, you can't go wrong. Enjoy!"
"I ordered the unique take on a salad. Loved it. I had a bite of my friend's tuna and it was really special. Four of us shared the s'mores dessert plus the peanut butter ice cream. Uh-mazing. We went a second time and the food was wonderful, but our server must have been new. We waited around a long time for her to come for the dessert order (she was just standing by the computer chatting with somebody forever) after which she told us that the peanut butter ice cream was sold out which put us all in kind of a bad temper. I did end up ordering the chocolate cake which was absolutely delicious (but I was really hoping to have it topped with peanut butter ice cream). Once she finally brought the checks upon request, they haven't been divided properly, she billed for water, etc."
