"Quick and easy boat launch area and decent parking lot, apparently the property it is no longer maintained by the town, so lots of trash and people sitting in cars doing nefarious things. We threw a small boat out and had a blast, seemed like we had the whole pond to ourselves, even caught a few fish. In the summer there's ALOT of grass which made fishing and maneuvering our trolling motor tough. Gorgeous views from boat. We will be back again, hopefully, less grass in the spring. It also seemed like the fish were heavily pressured, and possibly daily amounts weren't being followed."

"Today decided to take a nice drive and visit batterson Park sit in my car and stare at the water this is such a peaceful place to just sit and watch the ducks. They also have a boat launch here so you can put a small boat or a kayak and also fish. I do not believe you can walk around the entire Pond which is disappointing because I would love to walk around this beautiful."

"Kayaking, sailing and fishing. I just wish the town of New Britain would add garbage cans and inforce parking restrictions by the launch area and monitor the unwelcome riff raff from the disrespectful New Britain/outside residents that come to leave trash and disrespectfully noise from unwanted vehicles. Besides that it's a great place for good respectful people with family oriented goals to enjoy a wonderful day of fishing and Kayaking."

"How do you GET to it??! Ah! Found boat launch access off Alexander Rd, New Britain side. Is that really the only public access to this beautiful pond? The park has closed & the rest is wild or private access??"
