"IT'S A DECEPTION. They give you a quote over the phone for $900 and when you arrive to pick up your car to pay, they charge you $2000. Exchange PARTS are cheaper at the dealer and original. DON'T PAY HERE it increases more than 50% for each part. After your car is fixed you have to pay, there is no other way out. It's a good job but it's STEALING"

"Here's a bit of advice. Avoid Stamford Auto Repair on East Main Street. We were given a quote over the phone of $385 in parts to fix the steering tie-rods etc. along with $125 to do the alignment and a few hours of labor. Our final bill was almost $2K!! (parts alone were $730) We paid, but my wife laid into them over the phone. It's so upsetting to be so misquoted. At least be somewhat in the ballpark when it comes to quoting parts and labor. Needless to say, we won't be using them in the future. You've been warned. Regarding Stamford Auto Repair’s response to this review: “So you were advised that other components need it to be replace in order to complete the wheel alignment.” - this never happened. I was never called or contacted about other parts needing replacement in order to complete the repair."
