Cell Doc - Phone, Tablet and Computer Repair

"My iPhone screen was cracked so I went to Cell Doc for service. The person at the stand, who wears glasses and has a bald spot, said he could replace my old screen with a new one for $200. I asked why it was so expensive and he replied that iPhones weren’t cheap, nor were their parts. He asked me how much I thought it would be and I replied, at least half, to which he laughed at, again emphasizing that iPhone products were expensive. He made his point, and I reluctantly decided to proceed with the service, which in was $223.34 in total. It took about 25 mins and he added a bonus screen protector. The “screen protector” lasted for about 1 week and the $200 screen lasted 2.5 weeks. I went back before the 30 day warranty and he said there was nothing he could do because it didn’t cover physical damage like cracks. He also said that it wasn’t an Apple product and that I shouldn’t have expected the screen to be of high quality. I rejected his “boss’s” $50 credit towards a new purchase and decided to go to the Apple store to get the quality product that I sought, and that he inadvertently admitted to not having. At the Apple store, they said it would cost me $325 or so to replace my screen but that it would be futile because my phone was experiencing logic ware failure. This explained why I noticed that on the same day that my screen was replaced at Cell Doc, that my screen wouldn’t turn on with just a touch, and why my flashlight wouldn't turn on. I went back to the man at Cell Doc, because this would’ve been covered under his “warranty,” however he told me that I couldn’t prove it. The Apple diagnostic proves the logic ware failure, and in the words of the technician, that my phone has a cancer. Ironically, I have the Cell Doc to thank for that. I’m glad that I received his blessing to write my review, however, because I truly believe that people will learn from my experience, and will become aware of what type of business he really runs."
