"The best sushi restaurant! The waitstaff was truly amazing! They know their food. I was with someone who had celiac disease and they were constantly reminding us what was gluten free and what wasn’t. I was really impressed with our waiter. The food was truly amazing."
"Unbelievable sushi and service, what an amazing restaurant. We had the Sake Maki, Spicy Tuna Maki, Ebi-Hamachi and the Akami & Avocado Crudo. Definitely try the Crab Toast and Seasonal Salad, everything is excellent. Can't wait to go back and see all the friendly faces and enjoy the sushi."
"In short: Food was amazing! Our server, Gerardo, however, could use more training. Going into more detail: We were on the fence between whether or not we should go that day so we made a last minute reservation and weren’t able to sit at the sushi bar. The dining room was nicely set up and we were greeted with a friendly host/manager. I ordered oysters to start, followed by the uni sundae and a la carte pieces of chuu-toro. I was skeptical since the prices were marked a decent amount higher than other well-known sushi spots but the toro was surprisingly topped with caviar. I conceded; the order was well worth the price. They had just changed the dessert menu at the time but I could’ve done without it. I was satisfied with everything aside from the service. To start, we ordered a bottle of hot sake. Gerardo brought 2 wine glasses and proceeded to pour. Eventually realizing his mistake, he took out sake cups and poured the sake from the wine glass into the cups in front of us. That would be a no-no at a fine dining establishment. He was absent most of our meal and checked on us maybe once. I would’ve been more lenient if he had other tables but it wasn’t even busy since it was a rainy weekday. We got more face time with the manager, who also took our dessert order. And smaller things that I noted given the price point of the menu: we were provided with some chipped plate- and tea-ware to use. Not a big deal in terms of usability but definitely a negative for presentation and it takes away from the experience as a whole. I was really looking forward to trying Kissaki since it was on my radar for a while. Perhaps another location will provide a better spot experience."
"Dined under the stars and loved every minute of it. Indulged in Uni Service to start, which came with scallion pancakes, scallion marmalade, jidori egg yolk jam and a horseradish creme frachie and it was heavenly. Couldn't skip out on getting a 9 piece nigiri flight. It was the perfect way to see chef's creativity on display while tasting what I firmly believe is the best sushi on the East End without question. One of my dinner guests was vegetarian and they were so accommodating and had lots of choices for him as well. The service was fabulous from start to finish and the sake selection was vast and my friend loved his Kosho Margarita. Can't wait to go back and also to check out Kissaki's pop up with Fish Cheeks in Montauk."
"Finally decent and delicious sushi in the Hamptons that's not pretentious and overpriced just because it's the Hamptons. Staff was lovely from the minute we entered the restaurant and checked in for our reservation. Bjørn our server was attentive and warm and took great care of us this night. I like that they bring in their staff from their city location out here and house them till Menu is beautifully laid out and offers a variety of items for the die hard nigiri/sushi lovers as well as those who love hot Japanese cuisine as well. Their inventive futomaki selections are delicious and be warned the portions are generous too. And do not skip dessert! Their sake menu is quite large and offers a very good variety from the extra dry to the sweet. Location is ideal with ample parking in the back, and their outdoor seating area was well put together, this evening was super windy and cool and we never felt cold nor the wind. Will most definitely be back for more!"
