Oishi Japanese Restaurant

"Ive had the food here a couple of times already. I would have kept coming back but today I decided to stay so I ordered raw sushi. I really wanted to like this place because their food is better than most places around the area but when I ordered raw sushi today, I didn’t like that I thought I saw something on my order. When I said something about it, the waitress was trying to insist it’s nothing when it was clearly something. She then called her manager (i think it was a manager), they took the plate and waitress told me they will change it. Not even 2 minutes later; they bring the plate back to me. They never changed that piece of raw sushi that I had a complaint about but rather they just took off whatever i saw on the sushi and brought the plate back to me. also there were no apologies from either waitress or manager. I won’t be eating here again. I really wanted to like it but when they brought the SAME raw sushi back to me, I thought oh it should be fine. I can eat around it i guess. But then I realized this is ridiculous because I shouldn’t have to do that and especially because they said they were changing that one piece of sushi but didn’t. I won’t be eating here again."

"We had vegetable udon and different Maki rolls which tasted amazing! Highly recommended! The portions were fine as well."

"Ordered tuna and got salmon, also the yellowtail looked and smelt terrible. Called back and they did nothing about it and I go here 1-2x a week. Clearly messed up the order and need to toss out the yellowtail"

"This is a cute little spot with a lot of food options, tons of sushi rolls to choose from. I wasn't a huge fan of the crab rangoon; way too "milky" of a consistency. The vegeterian sushi I tried was pretty fantastic, while the speciality roll with tempura was a bit lacking. Maybe the tempura was just too crunchy, the texture didn't vibe well with my food texture sensitivities. Our server was attentive and very sweet. Overall good spot for a quick bite to eat."

"This is a sushi only review - I've never been anywhere where they used blended fish for sushi in the rolls, which means they use the good cuts of meat for the nigiri and sashimi but then give you the fat and excess garbage in the rolls , they were kind of gross. I got tuna and yellowtail with scallion they were both not very flavorful and had a consistency of catfood. Would not recommend sushi from here."
