"We contracted James Clang at A2Z Home Maintenance Services to rebuild our deck 1 year ago. After numerous attempts to schedule the job, James Clang has broken his agreement with us per his own contract and scheduled dates. There are various excuses that James Clang has given us for not being able to complete the work (he has no employees, he hurt his back, he was sick, his truck broke down, he has no money, it was rainy, too cold or too hot outside, needs new tools, busy working on other projects, etc) When we first spoke to James Clang, we noted that we would be selling the condo within the next year or two. We are now unable to sell or rent the condo. I have spoken to James Clang many times over the past year and have expressed my concerns over the floors inside the condo adjacent to the deck and the need to do the repairs quickly due to damages the deck is causing through water damage and silverfish. One year later the condo cannot be rented or sold due to the incomplete deck project. At this point, we are attempting to get our deposit back which has led to James Clang making threats against us."
"Jim was foul mouthed with his crew. He cancelled repeatedly on days he was supposed to show up. The “three day job” stretched into a month. He was overbooked with other jobs. I took these photos on the day he said he was done and asked for payment. The unpainted walls were to be “paint ready” for me to finish. As a contractor, I’m not sure how he could possibly think this was acceptable. He became very angry when I tried to point out things that had not been done or done poorly. I caved and paid him, telling him I would rather fix the mess myself."
"Was a really simple job for some quick money. Installing the cover on an ac line to the second floor. The part to attach the pieces was left over and seems like it's in fine shape so I'm not sure why they would just tape it together? Makes me wonder if they insulated the bare pipe underneath as agreed upon. If there was an issue I wish he would have just let me know. Communication also poor. Said he would be over/call a number of times before he actually came. Would not recommend."
"Warning! This company is not licensed and it shows. Jim did minor plumbing and electrical repairs at my home. I then had to hire professionals to fix everything he touched. When I told him about this, he became extremely rude and blamed me. The licensed company assured me that the work done was not only subpar but dangerous. Would not recommend."
"I had a decent experience with this company but they left the job unfinished. Jim was timely and did almost everything he said he would. My new roof looks good and seems to be of good quality. I'd have given them a five star rating except Jim told me he'd replace my garage window and did not. Being that the roof was done so timely I took him for his word and paid him for the total job trusting that he'd get to the garage window as he promised. I tried to reach him several times but after he got paid he has been MIA. Lesson learned."
