"I bought an expensive Cannondale road bike from Action Sports in Old Saybrook at the end of July 2023. I was told at the time if at any time I didn't like the bike, I could bring it back. I rode it 3 times, total of 4 miles. I got a back injury in August, can't ride it. I just called, and spoke with Carlos, who I bought it from...He said they are under new management, and don't do that anymore!!! VERY POOR AND MISLEADING SALESMANSHIP. That's why I supported local business"

"I love mom and pop sports shops. I stopped in here just to buy some snowboard wax and I end up staying for about an hour and trying on some snowboard boots. Nick a sales reo) was extremely helpful it was so nice to talk to someone who's a snowboarder like myself. At first I started talking to him about the new kind of equipment and then I found myself trying on a pair of boots and I was just so impressed how he was able to spend the entire time that I was in the store with me and not even get distracted nor did his boss come over. long story short if you want personalized customer customer service then this is your shop. The prices are very reasonable and before I spend money at a big-box store I will support a small business any day all day. This is a well-established Sport Shop and they have been there for over 30 years. Stop in and im sure you will not be disappointed."
