"Turns out this shady business is selling cheap maltodextrin mislabeled as waxy maize. There are reviews on amazon and elsewhere that will attest to this. I was foolish enough to ignore them, and now I'm stuck with 36 pounds, trying to get my money back. There is currently a worldwide shortage of waxy maize due to droughts and the war in Ukraine, and there are no other sellers of this product. They are either exploiting the vacuum for personal gain with a counterfeit product thinking no one is smart enough to notice, or there is corruption in the supply chain. This is dangerous because it can send diabetics into shock. Waxy maize is popular among diabetics because it's a very slow digesting complex carb, whereas maltodextrin has an insanely high glycemic index which can be fatal to diabetics. They've already been reported to the feds which should get this racket shut down soon, but word of this must be spread as it can potentially save lives in the meantime. I've never tried any of their other products, but if this is any indication of their level of ethical constraint, then I'd be cautious or avoid them altogether."
