"Amazing Amazon new concept! Been there today and last night, and I really enjoyed the concept, the interior, and their offer. Staff was really nice and helpful for a first time, and that's the extra+ for this market. Smartcarts are total boom, and their effort to keep the vegetables fresh with sprinklers is nothing else but amazing!!! Only thing I fon't really get, it's a little bit contradicton to itself... cause, Amazon conquered in store buying with it's online buying of everything in any time, and now... suddenly, they appear in this branche! Anyway, big bravo for Amazon fresh! See you tommorow again ;)"
"Lovely store, state of the art shopping technology. I was here on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at 6pm, and they had ONE (1) cashier. The store was not very busy at all but there were 3 or 4 people in line with full shopping carts and zero attendants at the self checkout. I needed an item removed that had accidentally scanned twice and waited so long the entire order deleted and needed to be re-scanned. If you're scheduling a pre- ordered grocery pick up or need to return items to Amazon, it is extremely convenient. If you are actually shopping yourself, they are extremely understaffed"
"What is this? This is the first Amazon fresh I’ve seen in Pennsylvania. It is a novel idea where you utilize a smart cart (or traditional one) for shopping, next you scan a qr code to your Amazon app to link to your Amazon account As you place your food items into the cart, the cart with scanners will see the bar code and weight items like fruit, etc. I included a video for reference. If you change your mind the scanner/cart will recognize a weight change and scan the code and take off your final bill."
"Today was the first look at Amazon’s vision of the future grocery store. It’s not that different from your normal grocer- I can’t really say they had any really Unique draw to visiting other than the technology and the prices. Look elsewhere for price comparisons- I was going for The tech. Shopping with the Dash-Cart was a time saver- and definitely would be my preferred method to shop if I was spending $60 or less. Once you have too many items in the cart- it will stop working. This makes it feel like a half baked proof of concept sadly. Grabbing a couple days worth of groceries and this cart is a time saver. It uses cameras to scan items as you place them in the cart. Is this a gimmick?- yes. Do I think it has a future in grocery retail? YES. This was a 45 minute trip for us to try today. My family loved it and wished it was local- but I have to say they need more SKUs. Selection was thin in some areas."
