"The staff was great and the food amazing. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating, for Atmosphere, is because for a Thursday night it was loud. I personally prefer a more refined atmosphere when dining. Not that it was bad, just not for me."

"I had been to this restaurant quite a few years ago. Two different times. Nothing remarkable. My friends decided that they wanted to go there for the holidays. The dips that were ordered were very good. I had the octopus/ excellent. Very tender. But the accompaniments were barely warm underneath it and didn't have much flavor pop. My entree was a lamb shank over orzo with some kind of tomato sauce. The lamb was tender but the dish needed a lot of seasoning except there were some sliced raw garlic pieces added in at the end overpowered the dish. My friend had the bronzini. It was good. It wasn't great. A fairly basic lemon white wine preparation. They had asked for them to take it off the bone which they did to one side and then just left the other side unboned. The chicken was good. It was tender. Sauce was good, the broccoli was uneventful. I just didn't feel like this food or service was leading up to the reputation of this restaurant. I think at this type of restaurant your weight staff should know position numbers when they come to table and drop the food in the position for the person who order the food. It doesn't seem like a casual place where they just look around and ask who gets what. In the end of the day the food & service was ok."

"Always a solid, honest food, done right, without shortcuts. When we visited, chef Michael Psilakis was in the kitchen cooking, and he came out and greeted diners. Nice to see the chef actually being at his namesake restaurant and cooking for people. The fresh ingredients really shine here at MP taverna. Grilled fish dishes are the most delicious, more so than the other popular dishes like pastas. I always get the sea bream or Dorado, sardines and eggplant meze. Daily soups are very good, too. Staffs are friendly and courteous. Greek wines go well with the food. I come up from NYC to eat his food. Kudos for being consistent and not compromising."

"Charming decor, outstanding service and food that will make you want to come back time and time again. My mother and I stopped in for lunch while passing through the area. Our timing was fortunate as we were treated to service by none other than Chef Michael Psilakis himself. He gave a beautiful description of how the lamb shank was prepared and sold me on the dish. All in all we had a 10/10 experience and can't wait to return with more of our family to enjoy another delightful dining experience."

"We enjoyed our dinner very much at MP Taverna. We started with the crispy calamari and artichokes, shrimp & tzatziki and I must say the portions were HUGE! Dinner included delicious wine, sangria, lobster risotto and lemon chicken. Unfortunately there were no dessert options, just complimentary cannolis."
