Reviews of Buona Sera
"Hi my name is Hasan and I am severely disappointed with the service I received from the lady at the front . I am all the way from Rhode Island and I traveled here with my family and friends because they told how amazing the pizza is . Me and my friend got into a civil disagreement among ourselves and the lady felt the need to intervene and try to lecture us and scream at us for our OWN disagreement . After she tried to embrass me and my friends, I didn't even feel hungry anymore and just wanted a drink . I tried to pay for Coca Cola and the lady at the front told me she's not accepting my payment and asked me to unfold the dollar I handed her . I have never in my life received this type of disrespect in a food establishment . The pizza is good but the service sadly doesn't match . The women at the front who I believe is Eastern European should have no place working in food management to talk to customers like that . I'm really upset to write this but all I hope she gets the correct guidance on how to talk to people with respect ."
"Don't know whey it's so hard to get a decent regular on long island but this places falls short again. Slice was small, bland, and had no crisp to it. Sacilian was dry as well. Unfortunate to say the least"
"We were in the shopping center, having never been here, we decided to give it a try. First impression, it appeared clean, but a little dated. Split down the middle, pizza counter to the left, and restaurant to the right. As we sat, we were presented with our menus, then a pitcher of water along with a bread basket, which consisted of garlic knots and a garlic bread stick that was garnished with onions and red tomatoes - excellent!! Included with dinner, my husband had the house salad that was very basic. I had the pasta fagioli, which was bland and disappointing. We ordered Baked Clams for an appetizer, and they were amazing!!! A nice, crisp, bread crumb mixture on top, there was a whole clam with nice sized clam pieces underneath. They sat on a bed of creamy, bread-dipping worthy sauce. My husband ordered the parmagiana combination, Veal, chicken, Meatball and sausage. He enjoyed it and really liked the Meatball. I had the Pollo Mediterranean, which was chicken cutlets topped with sautéed Zucchini and eggplant with melted mozzarella. It was very good, however, the cutlets were not breaded, so that was disappointing. There was only 1 server for about 6 tables, who was also bussing, and he gave great service to all tables from my observation. We enjoyed our overall experience."
"Solid traditional pie cooked well done as requested. Slightly grumpy counter service but no issues lol"
"The bread was amazing. The food was good the mozzarella appetizer not so good very oily and the mozzarella was not hot. I got Penne all’s vodka and it was delicious and and the sauce was authentic my boyfriend got but my squash ravioli and it was heavenly light and great lunch meal. the sauce was just perfect the pasta the squash on the inside was just delicious a little sweet but delicious. They lost stars for the mozzarella appetizer and the salad was very yellow no green lettuce at all. The waiter wanted to defend the food when I sent it back but he eventually agreed and took it off the bill"
