Villa Nigrelli

"On Feb 3rd we had a retirees luncheon at Villa Negrelli. Most of the retirees came from nyc and Westchester County. As always Chef Diego outdid himself. We started with a large tray of Buffalo wings. The wings were large and succulent. Then Chef Diego sent out two large plates of mussels marinara, very large mussels and simply over the top in taste. Then some guy's had the 24oz pork shank osso buco. The meat was sooo tender it fell off the bone. Others had pizza, pasta, chicken etc. Special thanks to Joey and Zach that waited on our tables, great staff. Not one complaint from anyone. To a person they all said it was definitely worth the trip up to Villa Negrelli. Make Villa Negrelli a go to restaurant for a fantastic meal. You will not regret it."

"This is a really nice place serving delicious food however there's a but... We had the Chicken Francese and shrimp and the Villa Nigrelli Chicken. Ordinarily I'm not adventurous and typically order something I know. But I took a chance on the Villa Nigrelli Chicken and it was delicious. Lots of flavors that all co-mingled deliciously together. Both dishes were served with pasta in a nice red sauce and came with a salad. The service was also excellent. I strongly recommend making reservations particularly on a weekend. The prices are on the high side, but you do get plenty of food. The 'but' is the atmosphere. It's certainly decorated nicely enough but it's extremely loud and very brightly lit. I literally felt like I was sitting under a spotlight. This place could really use booths. It also needs some kind of sound deadening. It was borderline raucous. Don't go here for a nice quiet dinner, particularly on a weekend, it might be better during a weeknight or if you could sit outside. However it's right off the Taconic Parkway so I'm not sure how much noise the speeding cars would cause. Villa Nigrelli could probably qualify as a 'true' 5 star restaurant amongst all the many Italian restaurants I have eaten at in this area. But the noise and illumination level severely hinder it."

"Great service, amazing food, and even better portions. You definitely get more than what you pay for here. The prices were definitely a lot cheaper than expected. The scallops were absolutely incredible. I usually never have Italian but I highly recommend going to this restaurant. update after 2 years: staff and portions remains incredibly exceptional! unfortunately, the scallop appetizer dish that i loved so much was a seasonal one time dish but the rest of the entrees remained incredibly delicious. this was most definitely worth the 1h30min drive to get here. this spot remains my favorite Italian restaurant. i only wish they were open in NYC :("
