"My second time here was much better then my first! I had Rachel ( the owner) today and she was phenomenal to say the least! She paid attention to detail which I loved and was the only nail tech I've had that did exactly what I want! I like my nails short (I work in the beauty industry to long nails aren't always the easiest) and I love the almond shape and she did just that! Thank you, Rachel! Can't wait to see you in 2 weeks for my fill in appointment!"
"I came here with my Sister & Mom for some mani pedis for Mom's birthday. I was contemplating my review, but a day later, the damage to my nails is somewhat visible through polish, & bothers me to think I'm going to have to wait months for new nail growth for healthy nails again. First, I will say my Mom & sister were extremely happy with their technicians, Jerry, Lucy, Sue & Danni. I had natural nails for over 3 months after having gel manis over the summer. I was purposefully leaving them bare & bought a Calcium builder polish, acetone & soak clips for fingertips myself as advised by MY nail tech in CT, where I live. First of all, I grew up on Long Island, so I am very familiar with the range of quality mani/pedis all over. I enjoy certain techs from various spots. My favorite was Nails in Relaxation in Massapequa when I lived out there over a decade. I don't often fuss with tips or even gel, but work with my hands so appreciate that attn to detail with cuticles, calluses, the basics. I hadn't finish removing the very last of some gel at the tippy tip of my nails- maybe a ⅛ inch. Some nails didn't have ANY remnants of gel & just needed a buff & trim. When Lydia used the drill tool, I pulled back & said I don't want that- those are my natural nails. I think Lucy came over to help interpret for me & I'm guessing Lydia said there was too much gel because I was told they use that to take off the gel. I said as long as it was a very fine grit, ok, I couldn't really tell what her process was, but if it made my nails look more healthy, I wasn't going to trust the process. Well, after sanding down & scratching up all my fingernails from cuticle to tip, she started applying clear base coat. I assumed there would be some buffing process for the amount of scratches all over my nails now, & she tells me that's $5 more!! I ask for the lady who translated before to come over. I was more upset at this point, because as many times as I've had gel removed, they buff the gel off, then soak my nails in straight acetone for a long while & push off the remaining gel or adhesion base with a tool so it's not as damaging to my natural nails. I still have to explain how my natural nails were NOT covered in gel, but a small part of tips had SOME left over. She ruined my natural nails, & then acted like she didn't know what a fine or medium grit buffer block was. Both kept saying the only buff blocks they have are a coarse one, except for men's manicure they have a shine one & that's $5. I had to show by using tool myself (which is basic 4 step buff block every cvs & beauty store sells- every 12 yr old probably owns 1) to show how you go from remove ridges, to buff, then shine. I didn't even care about shine, but looked at nails I've been preserving to be their healthiest since beginning of August now terribly scratched up from right to left. It was enraging me that she kept saying it's from the gel polish. No, ma'am, I'm thinking, it is not, it's because you used a coarse sander on my whole natural nail. Eventually they decided not to charge me the $5 & gave me the buffer as if that makes up for it. I was mad they didn't just own up to a mistake. Also that I do a lot of things to keep my natural nails healthy since I don't go to salon all year long & that's undone."
"Took my girlfriend and her best friend to get their nails done there today. Rachel and her staff are absolutely the best. They both got exactly what they wanted and couldn’t have come out better! And if you’re taking your girlfriend/etc there, I highly recommend the massages offered while you’re waiting. Salon is clean, hygienic, and beautiful. 11/10 would recommend to anyone! They get busy fast so definitely make an appointment!!"
"I started coming to this salon a few months ago and I’ve loved my nails so much every time since. I’ve gotten my nails done by Flora and Rachel who were both patient and detailed with my designs and with me! It’s super clean and aesthetic in there. I recommend this salon to everyone and I also receive unlimited compliments on my nails!"
"I’ve been twice and both times my nails came out amazing, and just like the reference picture I showed them. My first set of gel powder lasted a month! They are very friendly, and the salon is pretty, modern, and clean. Edit 7/18: Been two more times, and price is fair for the designs requested."
